I think this is good balsa for the cost.It is extremely easy to cut with an xacto knife, and drill holes into with my Dremel.You get a large amount and the two sizes of square dowels along with the sheets are nice for variety.I use these for miniature crafts and they glue together easily and the paint I used looks good when applied.This can warp a bit if too much liquid is absorbed. This is to be expected and if you are planning on using this as a canvas, I would suggest basswood instead. I did paint a tiny scene with acrylic then poured resin as a test. It did warp but not as badly as I anticipated.Overall this works well for my needs, and I think the cost is fair. So far I have created a miniature fishing shack along with a pier and I like how it looks. As much as I love basswood, it would have taken me a lot longer and this is just so much easier to cut accurately. Especially to make the tiny boards on the dock and pier.

This stuff is soft even for balsa. I didn’t except much since it was balsa, I’m using it as a canvas not as a craft so I don’t need something that is super sturdy but this is mostly useless.

This wood set seems fine to me, but I don't do much woodworking. Both the sheets and sticks seem to be decent and I didn't notice any obvious defects. They don't feel super-sturdy, so I probably wouldn't choose them for projects that require more weight-bearing.

This pack of balsa wood was exactly what I was hoping for. It is super light and super soft, and easily cuts with a craft knife. It is the same thickness and quality as what I purchase from my local hobby store at 5 times the price. This assortment was perfect for completing several dollhouse miniatures, including a desk and several window frames.
