Great for teaching equal and inequal fractions
I work with English Language Learners in second grade. This is a fantastic tool for helping them review the vocabulary for fractions, like "thirds", "fifths", "twelfths" and so on. It also enables them to SEE if two fractions are equal or not by comparing the lengths quickly. For my language learners who often can grasp the concept of fractions before they can express those understandings in English, this tool is a great one for enabling them to express their understanding of the math even if they don't know how to say all the words. I would definitely recommend this type of tool for teachers and students!

Makes Fractions More Real
I purchased this item to use with my children's current math program, Right Start Math. The item they sell was just a laminated poster. I thought this, which is essentially a puzzle, would help my children understand fractions and their relationship to the whole well. This item is sturdy and appears well made and arrived quickly. That's no small feat today with shipping delays. Thank you!

The so-called tray is non existing. I call this false advertising.
Advertises a white tray. However, the tray is just the cheap plastic it's wrapped in. Disappointing

Don’t count on the “tray”
This is an amazing set that I know will help my son temendously, but pretend it doesn’t say it comes with a tray. It’s just the packaging it rests in. It doesn’t properly close for storage. I will need to put the tiles in a baggie. And the “tray” is too big so the pieces aren’t snug which can be confusing for a child when they see a huge gap and think they are missing a piece. I will be creating some type of spacer or something for the side so it is snug. I love these and would pay the same even if I thought it didn’t come with a tray.
