My old clip-on light broke at the plastic casing, and I decided to get something more sturdy. This has a nice, heavy base, and angles nicely. I use it as a reading light when I can't sleep - just loosen the wing nut at the hinge, angle it down, and tighten the nut again. I don't find myself using the phone holder much because I use a web cam for my work calls and I find the spring-loaded holder kind of awkward. But I like the adjustable height, angle, light temperature, and brightness.

Really love this light for my job in front of zoom all day. The light is more even than a ring light…I don’t notice the annoying reflection in my glasses all day. Also, the frosted nature is easier on the eyes. I have migraines and this light is less triggering than some of my previous ring lights. Very flattering light and high quality.

On the lowest brightness, it was too bright. I fixed this with some neutral density (ND) gels. ND3 was just right. Just get a sheet, cut it around the housing, leave some flaps and velcro the gel sheet to the back.Alternatively, I suppose you could disassemble the housing and place the ND gel in front of the surface, then close it back up while sandwiching the gel in place.

Super happy! I have smaller tabletop lights with plastic stands I keep knocking over all day long. I took a chance on this one and wow I am very pleased with the heavier base and the brightness for photos. It has not been knocked over once today, so I ordered another one to arrive tomorrow and have on each side to make it even better. I sent to my friend, she is ordering too!

This is a wonderful light for compact spaces to brighten video calls and streaming needs!

I bought 2 of these la.ps before and everything worked very well. So well that I ordered another pair and o e worked okay, but it flickers some. The other one does not change mode and does not change the level of brightness, but the scariest part was that the cable and the control got extremely hot! Unfortunately I had not had a chance to try them until 10 days after the return window closed. I tried the various troubleshooting ideas the seller recommended to no avail. Sadly, I got a lemon and I am stuck with it.

I tried several recommended lighting sets to improve the look of my videos/presentment via Zoom. But my space capacity is confined so most of the box lights sets with filters took up too way much space from my work area which required me to have to set the system up & take it down each time (grrr!). Plus, they produced way too much light for my needs even at the lowest light level. Then I discovered this system, which for me is JUST RIGHT! The light stands are slim, almost elegantly modern and, therefore, I can leave them in place. They are more adjustable in terms of height and angle of the light face. The full face of the light illuminates, not just a ring of bulbs, and it is semi-opaque which also filters the light and avoids the distinct ring of reflected lights in the glasses of wearers like me. And, I can adjust the light in terms of brightness and color tone. The one downside for me is the camera holder they come with does not expand wide enough to hold my camera. I think I can switch out the camera holder to one the fits or I can put the camera on a tripod. I just love having a work area with these lights and you can't beat the price so the camera issue almost feels like nit-picking...
