Bought this for my 17 year old son for Christmas. He loves making milkshakes and smoothies, so I thought this would be perfect for him for in his dorm room and that it would be easy for him to use and keep clean. It is easy to clean, but... it came with no how to use or what to do instructions, other than the generic before first use stuff. It was VERY loud. I jumped up to go help him because I thought he hadn't done something correctly, but he had done everything right; it is just obscenely loud. Then, it didnt mix the shake! The mixing wand is metal (not plastic), which is good, but it only has a tiny disc on the bottom, which vibrates and is supposed to be what blends the ingredients. It doesn't. It looks great, but isn't worth it if you want something that truly blends a good milkshake or smoothie. Keep looking and find something else. Luckily I bought it on Amazon, so I can return it and buy one that works.

This milk shaker can do the job of creating a yummy milk shake. It takes a little bit long to mix the ice cream and milk to the consistency you like due to the small motor. It will do the work as long as you are not in a rush.

I was trying to cut costs when buying this item for milkshakes, but did not know I was making more work to fixing a milkshake with this item... No much power at all even with two speeds. Cup is smaller then it should be also.. blades does not come off for washing. And if you use plain water in cup and hit power you get a bath while cleaning the blades.. No a great product at all.. I will not cut corners when buying items like this again.. My mistake trying to save a few dollars..

I bought this because it looked like the nostalgic mixer my aunt has..Very... Very nice looking machine, well made and pretty. I love the color. Very small and compact even though the mixing cup is large enough to use.Not really an adult sized kitchen tool though.The motor has more than enough power on hi or low but with a flat round smooth mixing blade, it doesn't mix very fast vertically.Also, the mixing wand gets in and out of balance and vibrates too much. Mixing wand / blade is not removable or changeable.Boo.Mixing blade does not reach anywhere near the bottom of the mixing cup. Moving the cup up and down to mix is not an option because the cup safety switch shuts off the machine if you move the cup.This is more of a cute toy, albeit a very pretty, WELL MADE, nice looking, quality machine that would be perfectly suited for kids. (The mixing blade is round and not sharp, so very safe).My children are grown now, but this would be a great addition to their "kid's kitchen" right next to the Easy Bake Oven..It does make a good milkshake.Even though I think the price was fair, I'm going to send it back and get something bigger.If Brentwood would make a larger, adult'ier version (SAME COLOR) that addressed the issues above, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.Four Stars For Price, Nostalgia, Style, and Craftsmanship.

This is so sharp looking and works great. Perfect milkshakes are made with this!

Only thing good with this is the retro colorIt has very low power, can hardly mix up the icecream. The stirrer has only a small end so it doesn't mix good.On top of it all the stirrer does not come off to cleanCheaply made in China crap. I'm returning

Friends love it. No more frost bite ice-cream....it doesn't stay around long enough. We use about 4 half gallon a week!
