Amazing TV!
I was going to get another tv and after seeing the reviews I added £50 and got this.Blown away! The TV features the same smart remote found on their much more expensive models and comes with an additional standard remote. I was actually looking forward to the solar powered one mentioned in the specs but I'll take the two!The picture quality is perfect. Sharp and crisp. I've tried it with the Xbox One and it handles it pretty well rivals my 4k AOC gaming monitor and has extra size.Theres a wealth of modes that I'm still exploring and Samsung TV which gives you so many channels on demand it's unreal. The setup for this tv is so easy and step ny step with ambient music. It feels more like you're taking part on the intro to a videogame where you're configuring your character. The sound is awesome. It was the one of the first things i noticesd; I wondered if the music and visuals had been chosen to make it appear to be a great tv and suspected that once I watched my own material that the illusion would collapse, however it just impressed me more.Great value TV i didn't know you could get this quality for this price I was getting this tv as a stop gap and really wanted a projector but I think I'll stick with it!I've already recommended it to others, if you're buying in this price range you won't be disappointed!

lovely tv that's a little quiet
this was a downgrade in size from our 50" LG telly but an upgrade in most other respects. The sound is a little low but it's no worse than the previous one and we only replaced that because it looked too big mounted on the chimney breast. We'll say the sound is adequate and you might want to invest in a soundbar or similar to enhance movie night. Picture is great and the bevel is nice and small. The remote has divided our household as my wife doesn't like it but I do. Was a simple matter to set up an all-for-one remote for her. Connecting to the Wifi was pretty simple and definitely better than with our error prone LG TV. Everything including the apps for Netflix, Prime, etc all work flawlessly so far (bought this in November 2023 and reviewing in April 2024) so I would definitely recommend and would buy again, especially at such a low price.

Good Tv, not clear with animation
Good Tv, I would give it 5 stars however for animation it is a little troublesome as the picture isn’t clear and a bit blurry when the characters aren’t up close, but other than that the picture is beautiful and bright but better with the lights off as with every Tv.

Nice TV BUT…
Picture is good, TV is remarkably lightweight too, but…There is no TOSLINK optical port. I can’t believe this is redundant technology. Many soundbars and amps use this for connectivity. Samsung say the port isn’t on the 2024 TVs moving forward.I’ve been playing my TV through my high speakers for 40 years. So, unless you have a really good Bluetooth soundbar then you are going to have to also fork out for a decent soundbar and that means another £200 because the speakers on this TV do not cut the mustard. While they are OK when playing back through the TV they are extremely quiet when I play DVDs on the Blu-ray.There’s no scart port either. Samsung seem to be forgetting that many of us have VHS camera videos which we may not have converted to DVD. however you can pick up a cheap adapter for HDMI to scart.I’ve sent for a video extracter which has the optical drive connector and 3 HDMI ports so I’m hoping I can get round the no toslink port problem as many report that Bluetooth soundbars are not that good if you buy a cheap one under £100 as they drop the connection and the sound quality isn’t that good.So what seemed like a bargain has turned out to be a headache as the extra connectors are costing around £35. I will update if they work and if they don’t I will probably return the TV and get something with a bit of backwards compatibility - mainly TOSLINK. I’m not binning my DENON amp/tuner just because Samsung think I should go all Bluetooth!I’ll update whether my sound extractor works after it arrives. More grovelling down the back of my TV unit! The TV has Samsung play so you can get a selection of TV channels, and do gaming. However, if you want to connect to Xbox cloud gaming, not all controllers will work. I bought a turtle beach Xbox one controller, wired to do flight sim and it didn’t want to know. I’ve had to buy a Bluetooth one. I’d say there’s a slight lag but not too noticeable. It’s compatible with my Mac.So if you want to do gaming, you’ll need to check which controllers work with the Samsung TV as it’s a very limited selection at the moment. Google to find out.
