This matcha powder is great! It has a nice bright green color and a nice flavor! Not too bitter with nice nutty notes! Pretty smooth and gave me nice energy for the day! Rlly good for matcha lattes

Overall this is pretty good matcha for the value. It’s got an umami tastes and a bit more on the grassier tastes so I personally put a little sweetener in to balance it out. For the price and quality, it’s a good everyday matcha option!

this matcha is great for an everyday latte, and the amount you get for the price point is amazing. this is definitely a good option for an everyday matcha, but i will say that the flavor profile is more on the grassier side and definitely needs sweetener if you prefer sweeter matchas. the quality definitely surpasses the price point, though, and it is a great affordable option to have! the texture is great and easy to whisk, the color is green but isn't as vibrant as some of the other matchas, but i do like that it still has an authentic taste and still tastes quite rich. definitely worth a buy if you are a beginner matcha lover and are looking to try different matchas!

I love matcha, have tried several brands and this one is pretty good. Its flavor is smoother than some others, mixed up pretty easily,didnt clump after pouring over ice and adding cold foam creamer. Flavor didnt weaken as it sat while I sipped it. I looked at a lot of others and I'm one to want the best for what I can afford at the moment. Compared to my usual matcha stop at the local SB adds up so making my own that I feel taste as good if not better leaves me happy with this purchase.

Tastes great! Good price and I purchased the smallest big size to try! Yummy. I used it to make matcha lattes and I will order again. Gives me just enough energy. I used a hand mixer with hot water to make sure the texture isn’t grainy.

This has a bitter aftertaste. It doesn’t taste nutty at all. If I knew what this was going to taste like I would not have purchased it. I’m going back to the previous brand I bought before.

I'm a beginner matcha enthusiast, and naturally came upon hojicha while getting acquainted with matcha, testing various brands on Amazon. While I do love the green, vegetal, grassy taste of matcha, I REALLY love the nutty, roasty toasty chocolatey taste of roasted matcha; aka hojicha.Now I will say I have not tasted any other hojicha brands to compare this to, so I really have no reference point for what is considered good, bad, or mediocre hojicha. However that being said I find this stuff to be a great introduction to it in my amateur opinion. It's affordable, tastes great, blends perfectly with a matcha whisk or electric milk frother, and in a pinch I've even used a fork!It tastes absolutely devine in a hojicha latte with milk and sweetener (if any) of your choice. My preferred method is to prepare it like matcha with the bamboo whisk, but add a teaspoon or so of cocoa powder and a healthy pinch of cinnamon! The flavors go together so well. The drink in the photo attached is a hojicha latte with peanut butter cream on top! Tasted like a Reese's cup in a glass. Heavenly! Just take some heavy cream and a spoonful of peanut butter, sprinkle of sugar if you want, hit it with a milk frother and BAM. Delicious, thick, luscious creamy peanut butter cream to dollop atop your hojicha and cocoa latte. Thank me later!
