idiskk What a piece of crap! You can't register you can't do anything the websites and apps don't know anything they're useless. That makes the drive useless. Wouldn't recommend it to my worst friend!

Updated - Not as simple as stated
The instruction book in the box had little to no guidance. There is no guidance on the PhotoNAS app and many of the pictures are not viewable. See example. I also tried updating the version but since all information is in Chinese I have no idea what it says. I DL the guide book but the things it says this disk and app can do most definitely do not apply.Update- customer service contacted me to offer me a refund and to try the NAS again as they have updated the app. I will do so in the next few days when I get time and provide a further update to this review but I wanted to post this now to say I am impressed with and appreciated the excellent customer service. For now I gave this three stars but if the backup works as expected, I will change to five.
