Concise and Powerful...
I wish this information was taught to me as a child! I always wanted to learn mindfulness meditation and incorporate it into my life. And as I have practiced and gotten better at it, its helped with my awareness in other areas of my life that needed more attention. Every one of these chapters has helped me to look within myself with an easy understanding. I have learned how to be more compassionate to myself, calmer in the way I deal with things, and overall I feel I deal with stress better now. The activities in the book have really helped me to know myself on a much deeper level, even though I thought I had already. Something about writing things out, and looking back at them really is eye-opening.One of my favorite chapters was on “meaning and purpose”. I think its important that every one of us feel we have contributed to something meaningful. It’s such a gift to me when I feel I can help someone else.There is so much information and knowledge in this easy to read workbook. It’s concise and yet full of so much valuable information that I never was aware of.Although I think this should be MANDATORY reading for all therapists and counselors, I did not feel I needed to be a professional to grasp it.I can’t say enough wonderful things about this book!!! I have already recommended it to so many of my friends and family members! I know some of them with PTSD would also really benefit.I will read, and re-read this several times.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

BEST BOOK ON BUILDING RESILIENCE
BEST BOOK ON BUILDING RESILIENCE...I just finished another book of Dr. Glenn Schiraldi’s. This one “The Resilience Workbook” was by far my favorite! I needed this book! I always wondered how my husband can take any problem and tackle it head on with seemingly no effort and so calmly. After reading this book on how to be more resilient during times of stress, and times of trauma, it has really opened my eyes on how I needed to perfect my coping skills.I felt after reading and working through the Questionnaires; I had a much better understanding of myself and felt much stronger and capable of handling any situation thrown at me; so much more than before!I plan on giving a copy to my local VA home. I truly feel, especially dealing with PTSD, that this is a perfect tool for many of the Vets that have been left w/o coping skills, post combat. This book could certainly help them address many of their emotion issues, and God willing contribute to the reduction in suicides.

Very helpful
This book is very helpful for training your brain to get on a more positive and productive track. It gives practical ideas for managing difficult situations and difficult people. It points out some traditional views that are harmful to our mental and emotional health.

An Excellent Practical Guide to Building Your Resilience
I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley and New Harbinger Publications for free in exchange for an honest review.The Resilience Workbook is written in direct, clear, and easy to understand language. Glenn R. Schiraldi handily explains the science and relevant studies connected to resilience and builds on these concepts with exercises designed to help anyone build their own resilience. I found value in the explanations and exercises and think that a general audience would find value in them too. I appreciated the extensive list of resources and bibliography at the end of the book - I always like knowing where to find reliable, credible information to deepen my understanding of the subject.

One of the best HEALING CATALYSTS available to date...
This book (and all of Schiraldi's work) is not only an excellent educational tool for building resilience, but it is also a guide that gently takes you on a journey of healing, recovery, and growth. It is well written, thoughtfully organized, and has immense informational integrity. I recommend this book for any person, no matter their personal historical experiences, who wants to INCREASE THE QUALITY of their personal life, relationships, and or future resilience.

Resilience PREPAREDNESS. R u ready?
Practice factor in resilience is a sensible concept. As w any skill practice leads tp preparedness. Calm amidst the storm, be ready to confidently thrive during difficulty. "I got this!" Recovering expeditiously leads to higher rates of survival & performance. This should be added to US Military basic training. Schiraldi clearly outlines a plan w strategy. A must read for soldiers & anyone who wants to thrive under pressure. BE PREPARED. Power packed w skills to strive high, go beyond, & handle anything. Another great contribution by Dr Glenn Schiraldi. Bravo bravo!
