Seems protective and thick enough to take a hit. Mesh material on inside of rim keeps head from sweating but does get slightly itchy if wearing for a prolonged period of time.

Fits nicely and comfortable; confident it will be effective next time I fall.

Def helped my kid keep from hurting their head

I bought this for my Mom after she lost her balance, tripped on her walker wheels, and hit her head on the tile floor needing stitches. I will do anything necessary, for her to avoid that type of injury again. I bought this for her and was immediately impressed. It's soft and secure. She now wears it every time she's feeling unsteady. This product will allow her to stay in her home, but herself, for awhile longer, because it's so protective. Hands down a 5 star product.

Okay, maybe not so fashionable but definitely protective. It's nice to have for my elderly mother who recently transitioned from a walker to a cane after a fall this past year. This provides her (and me) additional confidence that she'll be able to get around more safely knowing that a fall will not hurt her head (too much) if that ever happens.

I will say that this elderly protective helmet is comfortable for the most part and it definitely has a good texture of quality and the weight is super light which was nice but a little bit more concerning for me. It's functionality is not bad but the sturdiness of it is what I'm kind of worried about, not necessarily the fit. I have bought one of these in the past for my mother had her severe head injury and cracked her skull a year or so ago, and that had a thicker layer of material that made me feel very comfortable when she was out trying to do her gardening or walking around with her cane, but this one in particular feels a bit less secure when it comes down to the impact of how the head can be protected from the inside cushions. I would say this is kind of nice if you have carpet in your home 🏡 and you want to use this but overall I would not be my go-to to make sure my mother's head doesn't get an injury again, it's a good backup plan until you get something more sturdy but it's not something that's I can rest easy with considering I know quite a bit about the head injury space now. Overall it's definitely still something to keep with you on a go to level and it could bring some kind of protection overall. Thank you!

We purchased this for my father who is prone to get into rather precarious positions. He has had a few falls in the past, but with this, we feel better that as he "free roams", he will be a little safer. It fits and adjusts easily and appears to be durable enough to last through semi-frequent use.

The open cap top allows the scalp to breathe, while the main band is a thick, sturdy foam like material covered by fabric- soft enough to wear, but dense enough to protect against hard surfaces. The band has Velcro to adjust the band to the head size, and the strap is light, easy to tie in a bow to secure it. I wasn't expecting my loved one to put it to full use so quickly, but I will say I am very thankful today that I got it. If you're thinking your lived one might need one, don't hesitate - get it.
