I think it's an Amazon issue but I received an open box already half put together product with a couple small missing pieces and a broken plant.It didn't prevent me from returning it as the battery box was never messed with. I was still able to complete the build with small pieces missing and I'll just throw the broken plant.Loving the cabin details and build. Instructions are harder to follow than lego. Would totally buy again.

Most of the roof pieces are missing, the storage shed for wood is mostly missing. The tree is mostly missing. Pieces here and there are missing. My fingers hurt trying to fit the pieces. When I do get them to fit they pop off. I would like to know if there is a secret code to getting the ( little) connection in the hole

Bought for a teenage boy who was able to build it quickly without any issues. the instructions were clear (albeit not as good as Lego) and the quality of the finished product is good. There are a lot of details and cool building techniques that made this a fun model to build.

I truly enjoyed building this kit. The short review: the instructions are great, the colors are fantastic, the pieces fit well, and the finished product looks very cool.It arrives in a nice cardboard box that can be re-closed for storage. It's got a big full-color photo of the finished product, which I appreciate as a helpful reference. The kit includes a brick separator.The instruction manual is a very good size-- it's big enough that all the individual steps are easy to see. At the beginning, there's a complete list of parts. The manual is full-color. This particular kit does have a lot of shades of brown, but they're generally pretty easy to distinguish. The instructions always make it clear which color brick and what type of brick you need to be using, and the steps are broken down enough that everything is very easy to do.The parts are in clear plastic bags that are numbered, and the numbered bags correspond to the directions. As another reviewer commented, it would've been nice if there had been more numbers involved, because some steps do use a bunch of bags-- there were a few times that I had to dig pretty hard to find the piece I needed. Still, though, it's a small quibble, and it's easy enough to resolve if you use a sorting tray for your pieces.This kit has really great details that give this cabin a definite personality-- it's not just a generic cabin! It's a little dilapidated but very cozy, and the details make it look lived-in. Other details, like the foliage, also contribute very well to the overall look. It's not "just" a cabin, and I really like that.The base, once assembled, is pretty sturdy. The roof is also much easier to deal with than a lot of roofs in similar kits-- it actually goes on like it's supposed to and stays in place. The lighting kit was easy to install and is a very nice touch.The bricks are compatible in size with the major brand, and everything clicked together easily and firmly. I didn't have to force anything, and nothing was malformed. Nothing had those white stress marks that some knockoff sets get. I'm very pleased with the brick quality. When I had to use a brick separator (due to my own errors, not a problem with the kit), none of the bricks got chipped or scuffed.I am really pleased with this kit and would absolutely get another kit from this brand.

Do not buy!!! Would give negative rating if possible. I wish I would have read other reviews. Lots of pieces missing. We originally thought only a couple pieces missing, but there are many missing causing a huge disappointment by my son. Huge waste of money. 11year old left super disappointed. Would not buy again from this brand for this kind of risk.

This is such a nice building block kit. The kit arrived in a beautiful box, that would be lovely for gift giving. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. One issue is that there are a number of very similar brown colored bricks and that did take me some time to figure out and I used the wrong brown shade in a couple of places and had to go back and make changes, but that was the only issue that I had.The quality of the kit was very good, on par with another well known building block company, but at a far less expensive price.
