Pretty embossed on the out side.One of the most beautiful kaleidoscope I own.

I needed a deluxe Scope for a gift for my mother who had always wanted one as a child. I found this to be well made. The brass etching and metal feal heavy and of high quality. The oil filed end with different pieces inside is pretty to look at even from The outside. The optics inside are amazing. Not like something a kid would get made of cardboard. My only down side to this is I believe it should have come with a storage box to keep it in as well as the display piece. I would have payed a bit more for that. I had to make my own box from hobby lobby and some foam/ satin as pictured.

One Star because the ítem seems beautifuly made but the chrystals are few, ugly and the mirror efect too busy

Super quality. Works great. Very heavy

The glass that gets the light in is minimal and around the outside of the bottom that you twist. It isn't vibrant unless I'm standing next to the window or a light source. Other than that, very cool and classy. I'd imagine the grandkids will think it's quite special someday.
