Can't give this enough stars. That being said, I am not a professional in any manner. I sew for fun and necessity. These threads are beautiful and functional. The strength is great for what I need (hobby sewing)

I used it for my last embroidery project — almost 80,000 stitches and not a single break at maximum speed. The trick was to lower the tension way down. It has a semi-gloss, semi-matt, relatively smooth finish, exactly what I needed. Highly recommended.

I love all the variations, there's some really fun color combos in here and the storage box is super cute. So far I've only tried doing some decorative hand stitching, haven't used it on a machine. It was mostly easy to work with, it's a little fuzzy so it took a couple tries to thread the needle, but the colors shift quickly enough that you get a lot of variation right away. The thread was a little thin though and at one point I pulled pretty hard and both of my doubled threads snapped. I definitely wouldn't use this to sew any functional seams, it's really designed for decoration where it won't be under stress. It's a good value if you're looking for a lot of variegated options and don't need too much of any one color. I'll probably mostly use this for hand stitching although I might try it on my machine with the tension dialed back.

Was better quality that others I have ordered for my mother. She really liked color assortment Good value price for quantity in canister. Would and will order this item again for her Thread good quality less breaking than other types

This is FABULOUS thread! I have wound about 75% of these totally onto bobbins and there was no weird spots or breaks in the spools AT ALL! I've used this thread for regular sewing and quilt piecing on my sewing machine. Also I have used this thread to quilt layers together too. It's a nice thin thread but not weak - on par thickness of most major quilting thread brands. It is polyester in composition but I PREFER this for quilting.The colors are great as well. I do wonder what I will use up the neon looking colors on besides decorative stitching for my personal items LOL The variegation really makes it nice when quilting because it's a gentle change between colors. I do wish there was some options of greys or browns but definitely not a deal breaker!Each spool gives at least 15 bobbins, although some did 18 - this could be me? My bobbins are not exactly from the same company. The container makes a great place to store the spools until you use them OR clear it out and make it into a little travel sewing kit (I use mine for the living room!). I was recently given this 24-color variegated thread kit and I love it! The colors are vibrant and the variations within each spool add a beautiful depth to my projects. I've used these threads for both machine and hand sewing, and they work very nicely and seem to be made of quality materials that are not prone to breaking easily. I've tried them on various projects this past couple of weeks. I have done some quilting and embroidery and simple garment sewing. I wouldn't ordinarily waste such beautiful thread in this way, but I wanted to test the strength and quality under a variety of circumstances, and I have not found flaw with them. Each spool has 500 yards which makes this a good value. Variegated threads are not always easy to find in a good quality. Usually, I buy embroidery thread if I am going to ger a variegated color - which is usually for a quilt - I purchase embroidery thread because it is just a bit stronger than basic thread. I would not worry about the quality using these though, I would not anticipate there to be a lot of breakage if run through your machine. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves to sew!Whether you're a seasoned seamstress or just starting out, this variegated thread kit is a good investment, especially if you are interested in embroidery and/or quilting because you will find It adds a touch of magic to your project and begin to expand your creative possibilities.
