Purchased two for my kids, ages 3 and 7, for their ice skating lessons. I got the smallest size. It is a bit large for the 3 year old but with pants, they held up. My eldest is small for her age so these fit her fine.They easily fit over your clothes and do the job with making falls less painful. I imagine it’ll be a while for my kids to outgrow this size so yay for value.

Great shorts
These padded shorts are very useful for protecting from falls while my daughter learns to skate. As someone who has broken their own tailbone a few times, that's not a pain I want my daughter to experience. These shorts lessen the risk of that while my daughter learns to fall forward onto her kneepads and not on her bum. She usually wears a 8-10 in clothes and the Large size fits perfectly on her. The pads are well placed and quite squishy. They do not hinder her movement in any way and she says they're really comfortable to wear.

Saved my 7 year old daughter
The media could not be loaded. My daughter is taking figure skate lessons and these have saved her tush from many falls. I got her the small size and they fit well. They are a little too loose on my 4 year old so I wish they had an extra small

Love it!
as a 40yr old that still gets his kicks on the slopes, I learned about these little buggers several years ago and wouldn't be cause dead without them. that said when I got my son into snowboarding last winter it never crossed my mind to pick him up a pair as well. Just getting all the gear out and prepping for this upcoming season I grabbed him a pair to keep is tailbone safe. materials are nice, padding is great and very much like my adult pair and they fit well. sizing can be tricky but fairly true to size but they are very stretchy so they will last your little one through several years. overall a great product at a super affordable price.

Testing it changed my kid's mind
"Aww, come on!" she said as I showed her the shorts - she had no idea what they were. I got her to try them on, then gently dropped her from a few inches onto her bum and she started laughing. I explained that these are like the shorts I got for re-learning snowboarding, and that she could use them for rollerblading and ice skating to protect her bum. Up and down a bit and she was sold.
