This tool made my wheel hub job on my 2006 hummer h3 a lot easier. I tried using a hammer to unseat a hub assembly and even did multiple applications of pb blaster before I ordered this tool. The tool unseated the hub in 5 minutes. The instructions are very easy to follow. It even came with a set of gloves. The tool is very sturdy. I wish this tool was available at local auto parts stores for a loaner program. It was worth the money that I spent on it when I compare it to my time wasted. Now, I have it on hand in case I ever have to do another hub assembly.

This tool is heavy-duty! The main plate is 5/8" steel. The plate is painted OMT blue. The forcing screw is coarse thread M-16 or thicker. The entire tool is built very well. Although, as with all tools with forcing screws, I advise using oil on the screw's threads. Forcing screws are often damaged when used dry. Anyway, this is a great tool with the high quality I expect from OMT. It makes removing hub assemblies a quick and easy job. Well worth the money.

Very well made solid tool. Would buy again. Keep it stored in it's plastic case and the washers shouldn't walk off.

I have 2 Subaru wheel bearings that were rusted solid and hours of beating and letting them soak and even getting them red with a torch they wouldn't budge was about to order new knuckles and saw this put my impact on it and blasted it right off highly recommend

Seems as good as the lisle tool for half the price and comes in a nice plastic case instead of the cardboard the lisle comes in. Only issue was some odd rust powder in threads of nut which came right off. Time will tell how it holds up

If you've ever had a hub thoroughly stuck on the axle / knuckle, you'll know that you need to break out some serious hardware to free it up. The worst I had took me about three hours per axle, and took a 10 ton hydraulic puller, an air hammer and two acetylene torches. The problem was (obviously) that the axle splines were rusted onto the hub splines, and they weren't going to give up without a long and difficult fight.Now, I have a new weapon in my toolchest for the next "difficult hub".I like the design of this device, and the way it's obviously built to exert a lot (!) of force on a stuck hub. It's a clever design that uses lug bolts (bolted through the blue backing plate to the hub) and then "pushes on the knuckle" with the large, robust threaded rod. The advantage of this approach (compared to the 10-ton puller I was using) is that it exerts twisting force on the hub (and the axle splines). So you can work on one portion of the splines, then rotate the hub, reinsert the lug bolts, and repeat until it comes loose.I would assume that there are some knuckles that won't have a suitably strong section to "push against" with this tool, but if your car's knuckle is beefy enough I believe this tool will be the one that keeps you from going through what I did.

I picked up this tool to help aid with stubborn / stuck wheel hub assembly removal. I was impressed upon opening the package. The tool comes with a hard case and molded impression slots for each piece of the kit. I like kits like this as you notice right away if you have misplaced a part of the kit. The tool it's self is very well built. The hub assembly remover plate is a heavy, thick plate steel. The forcing screw is machined very well with a nice thread pitch so that it will not be easy to strip out and a solid hex head for an impact gun, wrench and or breaker bar to remove the hub. The screw assembly is well machined. The screw assembly on my kit slides in and out of the remover plate slot with good machined tolerances. This kit also comes with 2 washers to protect the tool when you tighten down the lug nuts on this tools machined wheel stud slots. The kit is easy to use, you can not install this wrong. The remover plate is machined to fit around the axle nut housing of the hub and the movement of the screw assembly and stud slots centers it to the axle. Those that work on vehicles should know what I am talking about. No offense intended to anyone but if you do not you may want to have a mechanic do this job. Overall great tool and it makes my life much easier and saves time.

I disassembled my car first time and whatever I tried to take out the bearing hub, it didn't work.This time I used this tool and in boom, in just 1 minute the hub was out with this tool.I was hesitate between this and the other design that you hammer on but thankfully this was like magic!Totally recommend it. Go for it if you have a stuck hub.
