La Bella SP-47107 Super Polished Stainless Steel Bass 4-Strings Set 47-107

I've only had these on my P-Bass for a week and I'm really liking them so far. I was hoping for a good middle ground between Flats and Rounds, these do the trick, I'd say they're maybe 60% of the way towards Rounds, 40% Flats. I didn't have any installation issues that others have reported, I was concerned because the G string kept going flat for the first couple of hours and I was afraid there was something wrong with the string, but it settled in. I've only played 2 gigs on them so far so I can't comment on their longevity.

These are the absolute worst strings that I have ever bought. Putting the e string on and with the slightest tension snapped the core and starts unwinding. I always put LaBella above other brands but these were a disaster.

These are a solid fit right there between flats and rounds. I like them better than some other "half rounds" or "ground wound" strings I've tried. Only reason I'm at 4 stars is that they feel a little pricey for what they are.I saw a lot of people complain about strings popping during initial set up. I did not have that issue and I've put the same set on multiple basses to see how they sound on a P bass, Jazz bass, Musicman, etc. My favorite was on the P bass.

On my Lull 5 string. The tension is just right (for me). Not too light not too stiff. Punchy and articulate. Perfect blend of flat and round wound sound. My favs

I wanted to try these out on my Jazz, but while installing the A string, tuning up to pitch, the ball end just popped off.. Never had that happen before. Sad day...
