Why did you pick this product vs others?:I ordered this as a gift for my sister in law and tell you what she could not thank me enough. She uses this daily for fresh grinding her garlics and chilies.

Works perfectly with wet as well as dry ingredients

I live in Germany (my husband is stationed at one of the air force bases over here) and we live off base so all of our stuff has to be 220v. I did not want to buy really expensive things for my kitchen considering the fact that we are only going to be here for 4 years. This grinder was perfect. It works really well and it is in my budget. I have only used it for coffee so far, but I am thinking about grinding my own herbs with it as well. I will update as soon as I do.

I had to purchase an adapter for the EUROPEAN plug on this unit, which was not stated in the description. The actual electric specs on the equipment were different from the box too, and both were different from the website listing. So know what you're getting into! Otherwise, it does spices and some nuts just fine, but on whole almonds it jams when the blades stick into them.

I had this chopper for 20 years & loved it so much I purchased this replacement when it broke (due to my negligence). I mostly use it for garlic, making pastes, etc. I love it.

Its very hard to open or i should say after you grind anything you cannot open it. I would not recommended it to anyone...

I love this machine and use it all the time. I wash and save the stalks of parsley/cilantro, etc. and grind them up with a little water. I then add them to homemade salad dressing, or to vegetable or meat dishes for extra flavor and nutrition.

The voltage can not be use in US.
