𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐍𝐞𝐰 EBF61315802 Washer Door Lock Switch & MFG63099101 Washer Door Lock Strike Assembly Compatible with LG Kenmore Washing Machine Door Switch (2 PACKS)

The original mechanism gave out and I just knew it would be like $500 to have a guy come out to replace. Amazingly after a quick search I found the part number, found them cheap on Amazon and ordered this one. It came with everything needed. The instructions were on the product page in one of the photos. It was a simple job except I did not have the proper tool to put the ring back around the gasket so I needed a second set of hands and some ingenuity. Eventually got it on and it works great!

The problem. Door strike broke off inside latch. Washer out of commission. Researched product on L.G. website. Ordered parts on Amazon at 1/3 rdcost. This product arrived quickly. I'm glad because my wife doesn't like laundry sitting around. She's a do it every day kinda gal.I'm not a Mr. Fixit, and I've never replaced something like this before. The process was straightforward and simple. Total time 35 minutes.Everything fit exactly. Problem solved!Wife happy doing laundry again. $ saved over calling service tech $375. Happy wife... priceless!

The door lock strik/hook broke as its made of cast aluminum. Replacing that part alone was not working, so got this and replaced both the hook and switch which fixed the problem. To remove the spring/wire ring I also got the spring expansion tool which made the replacement much easier. This worked with LG WM3770HWA washing machine. The hole in the hook initially felt small as the existing pin was not going in, but once I gently hammered the pin, it went it... so likely there was some burr or obstruction that got cleared when I pushed the pin with force. Overall the replacement was quick and saved ton of money.

Worked like a charm and actually had the correct latch.

Straight replacement. Easy to install. Closed and locked. No errors came up. Will update if something haloes but as of now super satisfied with purchase. Saved installation money.

Fixed my de2 code that was preventing the machine from starting. Replaced both latch and striker, very easy replacement if you have the tool to remove and install the boot spring (I didn’t) but with an extra pair of hands it was still easy.
