Good practice kit
I'm really enjoying this , I assembled it in a couple hours and am enjoying the games more than I expected to. Seems to be quality that will hold up but so far I've only had it about a day. There is an on off buzzer that doesn't work and I'm ok with that

As expected
Good delivery. No issues with packaging, components went together well. No issues.

good project, bad software.. really bad software.... awful actually
I ended up with a short when I finished, had to desolder and troubleshoot... ended up having to add a bodge wire to get it working. one line was dead.I am not complaining about the kit. I learned a lot and got needed practice,,,,, If you are building this project because you want to play TETRIS... Don't bother... this is the worst tetris game I have ever played, even the $4 keychain tetris gamess are better.. the blocks are NOT RANDOM... they fall in the same order every time.... also there is only 1 rotate button..... they could have easily made the up button into a rotate button.. but it still would not safe this game... I plan to reprogram the chip.

Really fun build
This was a really build that is great for those learning how to solder, brushing-up on skills, or just have a general interest in retro-gaming.In all, the project took me about an hour to put together. I'm not at all an expert at electronics, but I am capable enough around a soldering iron for this project to go very smoothly. Even if you are new, the instructions are very clear and the pin positions are well placed, so unless you really glob on the solder, you're probably not going to have any problems. Even better, most of the components pressure fit in place, so it is easy to flip the PCB to solder the pins without the component falling out. In a few cases - like the chip connector - you might want to have some tape on hand to hold it in place. For solder practice this is great, but as a true STEAM project, some might find it a little lacking. There is no explanation of what the individual components do. You install resistors, capacitors, LED modules, etc, but unless you have some knowledge of electrical engineering, there is no information about why these items are necessary beyond their orientation on the board. The kit is also a closed system with no ability to hack, mod, or create your own games. To be fair, the kit doesn't hold itself up to be this, but it would have been a very nice feature to have. But those suggestions aside, I would still very much recommend this kit. The build is fun and very well organized - anyone who can build a lego or erector set shouldn't have too much trouble with this. Plus, the completed console is quite fun. It includes four games (the stripped-down version of tetris is quite fun and challenging), the lights and music are pretty impressive, and the whole thing is smaller than a deck of cards.Overall, I'm very happy with this it. Sure it could use a few more advanced features, but it is still pretty fantastic as is.
