Tapo TP-Link C500 Outdoor Wi-Fi Security Camera, 360° FHD 1080P with Night Vision, Two-Way Audio, Cloud Video Recording, Works with Alexa

The Tapo C425 has really impressed me so far. Setup was straightforward and the app makes it very simple to manage. The video quality is excellent – crisp and clear during the day, and the night vision is surprisingly sharp too.The battery life is strong and easily lasts weeks between charges, which makes it very convenient. I like that it’s completely wireless, so I could place it exactly where I wanted without worrying about cables. Motion detection works well, with alerts coming through quickly on my phone.Overall, it feels solid, reliable, and very user-friendly. For the price, I think it offers excellent value and peace of mind. I’ll likely be adding a second one soon to cover another area.

Amazing camera - lovely to be able to check on the back garden whenever I please with no monthly subscription! We ordered with the solar panel and it has charged the camera and kept it at 100% the entire time. Super easy to fit - literally three holes with a drill and three plugs then screw in (comes with the camera). Would strongly recommend Tapo 👍

Ordered the Tapo TC425, arrived promptly. Like all our other Tapo products was seamless to setup and picture is clear and great quality. Wireless and rechargeable, battery seems to last well and attached to wall with magnetic base. Would definitely order another.

Great picture quality. Easy to set up.Not happy putting it outside with just a magnetic mount - I tried to get a fixed mount but the camera manufacturers don’t do one! Brilliant clarity, colour and value for money. I have 3 cameras and a doorbell of TAPO, far better than ADT that I was paying a fortune for!Charging easy, SD card inserted I have subscribed to a plan for 4 cameras with TAPO and ore than happy with the performance so far.Great spotlights and alarm on them to use either as a light or for detection awareness.A lot of camera for not a lot of price

This is a good, well made camera. The app controls it well. I had problems getting notifications on the phone but the problem was with my phone. Battery does not seem to have the capacity to last 300 days but it is still very good. Quality of recordings is excellent (night and day) and the magnetic base is one of its best features.At a price of around £60 is a good bargain. You will need to buy a micro SD

Really happy with this product, if your looking for a security camera to put somewhere with not alot of motion maybe the back yard this is the one. Decent quality footage. Always detects motions, people and pets. Always connects to alexa with no disconnection errors. The price was perfect, nowhere near breaking the bank for it. The magnetic mount was perfect for where i needed to put. Such a hassle free install for me. The features you get for the price is amazing plus no subscription is needed. You can put a sd card to save your footage or buy the subsciption to save it onto the cloud. The price for the subcription for the year is not bad either just under £30 for a YEAR. Dont really have it anywhere dark so cant comment on the night vision but the spotlight is really bright to deter any theives.

I bought a TC82 camera and solar panel for my back yard, so far it has been brilliant. I thought I would get a camera for the front of the house but for aesthetic reasons I did not want a solar panel. I bought the C425 because of it's battery capacity. Unfortunately my experience has not been as good as the TC82. Firstly the camera kept dropping out even though I had bought a wi fi extender which was in the room adjacent to the camera. I tested the wi fi at the camera position and it was 62Mbps. I was constantly refreshing the camera and even removed and added it to the app 3 times. Next was detection issues, I set it up with an activity zone on my driveway for persons. It was intermittent so I turned the sensitivity up to maximum. Still problems so I added movement and turned that up to maximum. Still intermittent. Then the notifications were intermittent, I noticed a delivery from the post man but I had no notification. I checked the recordings and it was there but no notification. This continued happening. The final straw was the image quality at night which was very poor. The street has a good level of ambient light with a lamppost opposite my driveway. The camera image was darker than the actual scene, I think facial recognition at beyond 12 feet would have been difficult. I have returned the camera and ordered another cheaper TC82 to replace it.
