My unit was just delivered today and after a brief once over of the hair clipper, I was a little skeptical seeing the the pictures, graphics and models look as if the packaging came straight from the the 1970s and early 1980s.Then when trying to open the package, I’m a stickler for keeping the package in good shape to continue to use as storage but it’s really hard to open with out tearing it.Which reminds me, the trimmer doesn’t come with a case. It would have been nice to at least get a canvas one.The inside packaging also looked very cheap and doesn’t have very nice esthetics, and the compartments for storing different attachments and parts isn’t practical nor accommodate most of the parts.The first impression of the trimmer, while it doesn’t have a terribly cheap feel to it, it doesn’t have a hardy, well crafted feel either.When reading the operating instruction manuel, I didn’t like learning the fact that the trimmer uses a lithium battery that when it runs out, your only choice is to mail the whole thing back to Wahl so they replace it and your stuck with an added cost for shipping/mailing that you were not anticipating, not to mention all the time you’ll have to go without your trimmer while waiting for the time for shipping and replacing the battery. For that alone I wouldn’t recommend this trimmer to anyone.I haven’t charged, oiled, or used it yet so this review is to be continued...

The image shows 10 guards, but it only came with 3. When I contacted the seller they reimbursed me for the missing guards. Used clippers for the first time and they cut flawlessly!

Beautiful clipper. Quite a bit more weight than the magic clip but it feels so great and balanced. Blade was easily zero gapped. One small suggestion when you are zero gapping them just SLIGHTLY loosen the screws and you can get it dead on. If you loosen the screws too much it becomes a pain in the ass. I slapped the initial charge on it and hit a haircut with it and it feels great in the hand and the power is VERY substantial over the magic clip. Im going to replace the cutter with a ceramic blade and use for take down but if you're using for fades I strongly recommend the staggered tooth "crunch blade" over the blade it comes with. I took one star because like everyone else I'm really disappointed in Wahl for not putting the premium guards in with it. I don't know or care what the excuse is. The U.S. is the largest market and we should get the premium guards also. I have a set but i should have an extra now. Anyway beautiful high quality clipper. I love the metal lower and hope they last.***one tip on prolonging the life of any lithium battery is to only charge the clipper when it needs if possible not after each use***

I gifted this to my son for Christmas, as his old clippers were wearing out.He is absolutely thrilled by the fact that they are cordless! Way easier to use!
