The picture shows grommets show a nickel color. The description says antique grommets. Are the grommets silver or brown?

I want to order these in White. Are they really actually blackout curtains?

Yes they are. I purchased the natural color, which are light tan. I was surprised and very pleased with how well they block out the sun. My large living room window gets direct sun during the fall and winter when the sun is low on the horizon. It is so bright inside I actually need sunglasses indoors and the TV screen on my big screen TV is completely "white washed" and unviewable. When these curtains are closed, it is dark enough in my living room that I need to turn a lamp on.
