My favorite kit I’ve done so far!
The media could not be loaded. I was hesitant to buy this kit at first. I didn’t believe it would be as cool as they were making it look, but I decided to go for it anyways. I’m so glad I did! This is my favorite book nook I’ve done so far (#7 in my collection) and it’s definitely a show stopper. Even my teenagers are impressed by it. ;)The kit is well made. The pieces were easy to snap together and came pre painted. Very little gluing is needed. The pieces are sturdy which is always a bonus when using a bit of pressure when snapping them together. The best part is that they label the boards with where your wires should go and which way pieces should be facing. (See my photo for example.) I wish all kits did this! They also get bonus points for making the tiny book covers stickers instead of having to glue them all together. The voice activated effect works pretty well. As noted in the instructions turning them off with “extinguish” is sometimes tricky. Takes some practice to get it right. I don’t use the voice feature with my kit. Easier to just hit the button, but it is a fun idea.I think that this could easily be a beginner kit if the person has a bit of patience. Would make a fun gift! Looks great on a bookshelf nestled amongst fantasy books.

High quality and very cool build
The media could not be loaded. One of the coolest book nook I’ve seen. Has really cool fire effect that feels like magic and the hallway does look infinite too. This took me about 6 hours to complete.Pros:- Instructions are super easy to follow, the build overall isn’t very complicated either.- Materials feel very high quality and does not break easily.- Everything clicks easily, some part required a bit more pressure, but it’s secured.- Very minimal glue needed.- Mine comes with everything needed, including the glue (not batteries).- Wiring is very simple and it has a guide printed on the wood too.- I think the voice activation is really cool (can turn that feature off and use touch sensor instead).- Can adjust the volume and brightness with touch sensor.Cons:- None for me :))

The Most Magical Booknook Kit!!
The media could not be loaded. This is probably the coolest booknook kit out there! It looks absolutely magical and even smells amazing. Since this is my first booknook kit, I’m not sure if all the wood has such a nice scent, but this one definitely does. The kit includes plenty of extra parts in case of mistakes, which I really appreciated. I even had extra tiny books left over, so I arranged them into stacks, which added a lovely touch. The directions were clear and easy to follow, making the whole building process smooth and enjoyable. It took me around 10 hours to complete, and I had so much fun arranging the books just how I wanted—even organizing them into sections based on their titles. Yes, the titles are readable! Though, once placed on the shelves, they aren’t visible, it’s still a fun detail. The seller provided an excellent experience, reaching out even before the kit was delivered with additional instructions and offering support if needed. From start to finish, everything about this kit was a pleasure. Now that it’s on my shelves, I can’t stop admiring it! It looks absolutely perfect next to The Book That Wouldn’t Burn, especially with the extra book stacks (IYKYK). If you’re considering a booknook kit, this one is a must-have! Don’t know what other one to buy now that I’ve bought the best one, heh.

Very fun kit
The media could not be loaded. This book-nook kit is a lot of fun. There are a few issues with the instructions and the kit that must be noted for someone not familiar with these kinds of kits to ensure a truely excellent time completing this kit. Two parts must be modified to finish this kit without causing damage and getting the best possible construction out of it.On part H8, you will need to split the bottom tabs in half, cutting the LEFT half of the tab off when looking at the writing on the part. This will cause this piece to sit loose in D4, however it will allow H7 and H9 to fit without being bent and putting pressure on very delicate parts of D4, and will fix a really awkward alignment between the top and bottom bookshelves as these form the main feature of this model. It will also keep from pinching the mirror when that goes in. There are enough other connection points that cutting these two tabs will not harm the structural stability of the book nook, but it will make the whole project better on the whole and keep from breaking H8, D4, or H9 which will be badly stressed otherwise. The indicated tab on the left side of D4 also must be cut to be exactly the same size and position as the tab on D3 as the slots in the left-hand side of the exterior wall these two tabs fit into are the same size and align exactly. I found cutting the right most edge to the relief notch (the super thin cut in the tab) and gently rounding the edge of the tab allowed that tab to actually fit into the slot cut in the left wall of the finished book. You should triple check this part for fitment before building top book shelves (or at least before adding D3 to the shelves) to ensure these parts will fit during the last steps when you assemble the exterior of the book-nook.Early on the instructions the page lists "the Short LED" and "The Long LED" it took me a while to sort out they are not talking about the wire length, but the length of the PCB the LEDs are soldered too. Confirm this on the later steps where the holes for the LEDs are noted and route the SHORT WIRE LONG BOARD through the top hole and the LONG WIRE SHORT BOARD through the bottom of the two pass through points. Trust me, it will make the assembly much easier.Once finally assembled the book nook is very attractive and quite responsive. The wand included is not necessary, the motion sensor will pick up your hand moving or any actual Harry Potter licensed wand moving. There is a very short delay between spoken word and the torch lighting but it is satisfying when you have the motion more selected. This is a very nice kit and with the very minor alterations mentioned goes together fairly easily. There is a lot of time spent on the books (9 books per shelf, 20 shelves!) but it also allows for some amazingly detailed and unique touches. It comes with a battery pack (but no batteries) and can be either battery powered or there is a option/opening to allow the cord to pass out the back and plug into any standard USB style wall block for phones or other devices. This is a VERY thoughtful option not seen on most of these kits.If the little assembly issues were fixed, this could easily be 5 stars.

Super Cool, Works Perfect!
I've been looking for the perfect book nook for a couple years, and finally found it! Super great quality materials, and everything fits perfectly. Very easy to assemble so long as you follow the directions. It took maybe a combined 3-4 hours for me over a few days, but it was an enjoyable assembly process. And the final product is an awesome book nook that looks way better than all the more cheesy ones out there. The flame projections and sound and just icing on the cake. It's awesome.
