I liked this so much that I ordered a second one for my daughter who kept asking to use mine! It's a fantastic idea to use natural gyroscopic mechanics to power the device and create the (quite large) forces that will strengthen your hands, wrists and arms over time. Because it's fun and addictive I found myself using it for an hour or more at a time, far longer than I would do with boring dumbbells and similar equipment. First day or so your forearm will ache and you may get the odd blister on your hand, but once you get stronger and more proficient with the ball you'll find it easier to use and keep a smooth rhythm that can be quite relaxing as well as providing real physical benefit. The LED lights look great, and they are pretty bright on this ball (brightness depends on speed the ball is spinning, no batteries are used, a magnet and inductors create the electrical current like an electric motor in reverse)This was really good value when I bought it at £7.99 and the ball is pretty much identical to all the other budget-range versions available at slightly higher prices, it weighs 268g about the same as another metal alloy one I had before. Since I have two of these now I was able to do a comparison and I have to say that one of them is definitely smoother to use than the other. I gave the smoother one to my daughter since I can use both of them just as well and she is still learning a good technique.If you take some care with the ball it should last long, just be careful not to run these cheaper balls at excessive speeds (with a high-pitched whine) for long periods as they will eventually wear and become more difficult to use.
