I purchased this TV to upgrade from my OG Samsung LED TV (still an amazing TV, now in my guest room). The Samsung Live TV is wonderful and easy to use, the solar charging remote makes me feel better about not wasting batteries, and the screensaver and timeout give me peace of mind about walking away into another room.My older Samsung TV had 120hz refresh and I could NOT live without that in my new TV. Such a rate in modern TVs is reserved for higher end models, so this is a GREAT value for a TV.

Excellent !! Picture clear and movies come to life with the big screen. I’m enjoying all the programs on tv now. So sharp and clear. Color is beautiful.

The OLED display is adjustable as far as color balance and brightness. I dimmed my display slightly do to personal preference. But, most of all the Tizen operating system rocks. My previous Sony Bravia was an excellent TV, but its Android system was a clunky horribly system to work with in my experience and each upgrade of software appeared to make it worse. My experience with TVs is that an operating system should be intuitive, easy operated -Tizen is all of that combined with an excellent OLED panel. This review is Just my experience with the TVs.

I ordered this television for my parents for Christmas and an important part of the gift was that I would set it up while visiting them for the holidays. I set it up and the TV was a complete lemon. The screen would flash but otherwise wouldn't show any image at all. I got in touch with Samsung and they sent a repairman who claimed the screen was cracked on the inside and that it wasn’t Samsung’s problem. Samsung’s customer service won’t offer any more help. This all took days and then I had to fly home. Now my older parents are stuck with repackaging this bulky television to return it to Amazon. I expect a high-end brand like Samsung to stand by its product and this was a huge disappointment. I’ll be going elsewhere for the replacement television.

The picture is so clear and crisp that it almost feels like I'm watching in 3-D. Standing right in front of the screen I can't even pick out individual pixels. This is the nicest TV I have ever owned.

Gorgeous pictures, easy set up, great sound. Very light-weight. Love the solar charging remote-but it doesn't have enough buttons!

First off, ignore the people who gave this one star because the TV arrived with a cracked screen. That's a delivery issue, not a product quality issue.I did a lot of research before settling on this model and I'm very happy with my choice. The most important factors to me are picture and sound quality, both of which are excellent. It took a bit for me to get the settings perfect to my taste: now the colors are deep and bright, and the sound is so pure it actually takes getting used to (you don't realize how much sound interference there is until it's gone). The TV also has lots of apps as well as some live TV and Samsung channels.It's not cheap, but if you watch a lot of movies and prestige TV, and are in the market for an OLED, I highly recommend the Samsung S85D.

TV itself is fine. We use zYouTube TV to access apps. However, Samsung mfg specs somehow prevent access to the NESN360 app (New England Sports Network). We added Roku Ultra just to be able to get to NESN360, which worked, but now we cannot record games because you can't record on Roku. But that's the only way to get at the app. Disappointing.
