Lovely gift

I got these for my Mum for her caravan kitchen as they are stackable so take up little storage room.It's a set of 3 bowls with leakproof lids.They are solid ceramic bowls, microwave safe and very easy to clean. The lids fit well and they have a little ventilation hole on the top of each.They are well made, with a tulip design on the front - I think they look a bit old fashioned but my 77 year old Mum loves them and thinks they're gorgeous.

But one of them came broken which is a shame

I have received the boxed set of three ceramic salad bowls with lids in the cute Pink Tulips design which I felt were quite retro looking. The photos on the listing are a good likeness so what you see is what you will get. The lids are a very useful addition as this means they’re not just suitable for eating food out of but also for storing leftovers. I don’t have a dishwasher but it has been easy to wash by hand. Being ceramic they are heavier and more fragile than plastic but they do look much nicer and so far hasn’t gone orange through staining from tomato based sauces like plastic does. They are fine to use in the microwave. I’m not sure that I fully trust the claim that the lids are leakproof. I never feel that they are fully sealed but I have just filled the smallest one with water, popped the lid on and shook it vigorously over the sink and nothing at all came out so on this occasion the sealing was effective however saying that I’d probably be unlikely to take food out of the house in a ceramic dish purely for practical reasons as plastic storage boxes are less likely to break in transit.
