My son got these to try out free skating. We didn't want to invest a lot of money in a high end pair in case he decided he didn't like it, but many cheaper pairs had poor reviews, so we went with these more middle of the road price wise. They are great! The build quality is very nice and the wheels spin freely (the bearings seem decent). My son was able to pickup free skating very quickly with these and he loves it.These were just what he needed at a decent price, so I would definitely recommend them.

We gave these to my 12 year old son for christmas. They have a pretty steep learning curve. It took a few days, but he's really carving up the street now. It's challenging, for sure, I couldn't do it. But he's had a blast with these freeskates. The skates themselves seem to be impressively durable. Good bearings, solid decks, good grippy wheels. Definitely suggest getting a helmet and pads to go along with this though, you'll need them.

Ok these are freaking nuts but also kind of cool. I got them for my 12 year old son and after the first fall I forced him to wear a helmet because again. These are crazy!They are basically like a cross between a skateboard and roller blades. The top where you put your feet is that gritty skateboard texture so your feet can stay on them.I do kind of wish they had straps that went around your feet and shoes because you can’t take your feet off of them at all to lift your feet to get momentum. There is definitely a learning curve. But my son has been loving them so I’m happy.

I got these as a gift for a friend. They appear to be of high quality, and I anticipate that he will appreciate them.

I bought the Ark Ride FreeSkates for my son and they are fun! The skates are high quality and roll well. It does take a while to get the hang of these skates and requires practice. It helps if you are familiar with roller blading, roller skating, and skate boarding. The FreeSkates are a fun challenge and provide a great workout. Makes a great gift!

I have skateboarded my entire life and never thought of separating the board in two, but they actually do work and are fun to use. It takes a bit of practice and it helps if you start to learn on a decline or hill. Once I got going on them it was easy to also do it on a flat area.

I thought I'd get this quick. I used to rollerblade and could skate on just my front wheels, backwards, one footed. But none of that seems to matter. This is really tough to get the hang of. I have a friend that is good and that makes me really jealous. In stead of staying jealous, I'll just practice.

These freeskates seem to be made with good quality materials and sound manufacturing standards. The wheels spin very quickly and I assume that is thanks to good ball bearings in use. I haven't gifted these to my daughter yet but they should be good for hours of entertainment!
