very comfortable boot with 2 liners
This is the most comfortable boot I have - I have 3 different air boots (Ossur and Aircast brands) and this one, that is more like a cast. I have to wear a boot for at least 8 weeks non-weight-bearing and a couple of weeks more afterwards. I always oick this one, and it's been the best of the four to sleep in.I love that it has 2 liners and that they are washable. With a wicking sock, or without one, the bottom of the liner is always damp in the morning so I have to dry it. On the air boots you sweat even more due to the neoprene liner, at least this one is cotton and comfortable on the skin. Many times I wear this boot without the sock, as it came with the second liner - I can swap it in the morning.I see 2 issues with it but, despite these, I still think this is the best of the 4 boots I have:- the vacuum exit is right in front, on my shin, and the top of the boot is rigid, so I cannot use a scooter or the iWalk without serious padding underneath. This could be moved on the side in a next version of this boot...- I got a medium and it is the right length but it is very tight on my calf, it is probably designed for skinny legs. The manual says it can be extended and I see (theoretically) how, there are some additional holed to move the buckle supports in, but it’s been impossible for me to do it, I tried a couple of times and did not work. A video on how to do this would help…

Very stiff, not for me
Heavy duty, but cumbersome to put on, and the beads inside do conform to your foot & ankle becomes hard and were too uncomfortable for me. Hard to stand and remove the air by yourself. If done laying down all the beads flow to gravity and super uncomfortable when in a standing position or even using my scooter. Returned and used the cheap boot the podiatrist gave me with an insert for extra cushion and arch support.

Two broken feet and ankles
I badly broke feet and ankles and partial tear of Achilles not needing surgery. These boots act like casts they are heavier than normal but comfortable like a hard cast. I have to wear at all times like a cast but can change liners two times a week after I swim in them, yes swim, but they’re comfortable. Difficult to walk in at time but it gets adjusted. For full support and full time use works great

Good for swimming
The boot works well for swimming. I only use the boot in the water. The lining and the inner inflation piece can be removed from the boot. I took a point off because inflating is difficult. It has a separate, unattached, inflation bulb that is tricky to use. I keep the bulb to inflate it in my gym bag when I swim. I just think that if I were using this boot for every day use, I would loose the bulb and would not be able to adjust the tightness during the day.The boot allows me to swim, which is the best exercise for me. For that I would rate it a 4

Interesting idea but doesn't work for me
I shattered my fibula around my ankle, and ended up with screws and plates in it. I needed a CAM walking boot (even though I can't actually walk for another month) and was having trouble finding one for large calves. This one has adjustable connectors at the upper strap so it can go up to 20". The problem there, is that this shortens the strap because of the way the shell moves apart. You can go to the manufacturer and order some fairly pricey xl straps. However, the main problem I found was the design of the beads and the vacuum. I think because of the hardware in my ankle, it is impossible to avoid painful lumpy spots. You could take out the bead liner but then it's just an expensive shell. It's just not usable for me.Guess I'll have to find an air type boot instead.-----------------Followup: the seller pretended they would accept a return but then later put conditions on it. Avoid this seller. And p.s. an Aircast Elite turned out to work much better, and fits fine.

Great fit!
This boot fit better than the hospital boot. The ability to wash the inserts and the boot was a big plus. Much lighter than the hospital boot . Over all 100% happy with this boot!!!

Absolutely the best cast alternative boot available!
I bought this boot post pilon & compound ankle fracture, and I couldn’t be more happy with it. The customer service, fast shipping, boot comfort and stability were are all way above my expectations. My surgeon at Steadman Hawkins is interested in using this boot for all of his post surgery cast alternative patients. I can’t recommend this cast boot enough... It’s a must!Thank you for making this horrible fracture and multiple surgical experience as comfortable as it could be. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It was great until it wasn’t
I had the boot less then a month, I swam in it and dried all pieces after each use. My boot now makes a loud obnoxious popping sound with every step. I contacted the company and they said well it looks fine it may make noise after use. It’s comfortable and works for immobilizing. Had I been aware the boot would never be the same after swimming in it I would not have purchased it. Especially since the makers don’t want to make it right. But the manufacturers indifference to the problem makes their product and there reputation trash in my opinion. If you buy definitively don’t swim in it. Your boot will never be the same and no one will care.
