Quality
This is an early review. However, having returned a similarly priced dictaphone to opt for this, it is immediately far better. It has the weight of an aluminium chassis, rather than the cheap plasticy feel of the previous choice. And yet it retains most of the visual display information that the larger, returned model did.The recording sensitivity is important, and it seems to be, so far, okay.[I actually think our phone recorders are pretty good if we can turn them on. They ordinarily have an exceptional microphone, as necessary, but are not dedicated to the task of recording]Time will tell, and I would hope that if you spend three to four times this amount you will get super-sensitivity and options. But for the price, with its sturdy compactness, this product seems pretty good.In the box you have the usual charging connector to USB C.You also get a USB-C to USB-C.And even a USB to female.... I will say headphone socket. Please excuse my ignorance in the correct term. But a useful addition.I have been disappointed with big brands performance recently.I currently have a Philips dictaphone recorder, but it takes too much time to switch on (to record abusive neighbours).I previously had an excellent Olympus VN-2100 PC dictaphone recorder from 20 years ago. But now, suddenly, it does not record with any clarity, and the speaker has gone very tinny: the recordings are useless and indecipherable.Well, after 20 years of use, that is still an exceptional service.Alas, finding a driver to download its files nowadays seems impossible.Olympus has become OM. And I suspect that such an esteemed company still maybe produces dictaphones that are probably pretty good - but at a price! This dictaphone is, though, tiny.It is not much bigger than some USB sticks. The aluminium chassis weight actually helps to give you the purchase that other plasticy models don't.And is actually very useful for carrying around without the bulk that others have too.I hope that this will give some pointers to potential buyers.Of course, the recording quality is all important. And in the briefest test, it was no worse or better than the returned plasticy recorder - or the Olympus or Philips.Such as progress. For the price I paid of £18, this seems a very competitive and competent machine.Time will tell on its longevity.I doubt it will last as long as the Olympus did.But for the price, it is a bargain. And comparing it to other plastic models, it is this preferable.Beware: as others have pointed out, it is half the size of the other recorders. And this may not be a bad thing.

My lovely little assistant.
I am impressed! Small and very handy. You can hang it around your neck or put it in your pocket, so that it is always close when an idea comes to your head. It has a nice weight, you can feel it in your hand. Very easy to use, the layout of the buttons is spot on. The recording quality is very good. I am glad that I chose this model as a secondary dictaphone. The headphones included in the set are very basic, and the length of the cables (Left & Right) is quite short, so this is probably the only drawback, but for that price I can't complain. I think that the headphones can simply be replaced with others with the same connection, if someone has such a need, but I didn't try it yet. Anyway, I love this little assistant.

Nice voice recorder
This voice recorder is really small. I'm using it in uni lectures to help refer back when writing up my notes. I like the size as it's easy to throw in my bag without adding weight. The audio quality seems good enough for what I need, although when the lecturer walks around the volume doesn't fluctuate but I suppose that's to be expected. The battery is pretty good. It claims 24 hours and I haven't exactly time it but I've used it for maybe 3 weeks of lectures and it's fine so far.
