This lotion is a lifesaver! I’ve used it for bug bites and sunburn, and the cooling menthol kicks in almost immediately. It soothes the itch without being greasy, and I love that it’s steroid-free and gentle on sensitive skin. The pump bottle makes it easy to use, and a little goes a long way. Definitely something I’ll always keep on hand for summer and outdoor activities!

Effective anti-itch skin treatment.Purchased this Sarna, calm and cool anti-itch lotion about halfway through a horrible month of poison ivy reaction. To be clear - this is not a cure for a poison ivy reaction. However the lotion was incredibly helpful to calm and soothe, extremely itchy skin areas. Sarna is far better than Cortizone cream, which was not helpful at all. Sarna is much more inexpensive than Cortizone cream and much more effective. If you’re experiencing an allergic reaction to poison ivy I definitely recommend seeing a doctor and getting the proper prescriptions and when the outbreak is very bad, start with calamine lotion to dry up the outbreaks. And the calamine lotion is so incredibly drying that the areas of poison ivy reaction remained incredibly itchy and very dried and flaky. After about one week of calamine lotion, then I transitioned over to Sarna and it is very, very soothing and helpful. I highly recommend the only reason why it has four stars and not five is because the bottle is very poorly matched to the lotion. Cutting the bottle in half allowed access to the remaining 20% of the product.

Woweee this stuff is incredible! I have poison ivy on arms, neck and face and currently using this to help with the itching and irritation. It is amazing and I have never used something that works so well!! I have more ordered so I never run out. I’m picky so when I find something I love I am sure to keep it on hand. Great relief, moisturizing, great price.

5 stars all the way! This lotion absorbs quickly, very moisturizing, you cannot beat the value of money spent for this. I purchased this because it targets your nerve receptors. I have 90% nerve damage in my right leg and foot and have developed the constant nerve itch, with just a dab of this, it instantly stops nerve itch!

Make sure the pump works. Its great stuff. I didn't send either bottle back but am annoyed about the malfunctioning pump.

I purchased the Sarna Calm + Cool Anti-Itch Lotion, Soothe and Relieve Pain and Itch from Insect Bites, Sunburn, & Poison Ivy, Contains 1% Pramoxine Hydrochloride, 0.5% Menthol, Vegan, Steroid-Free, 7.5oz initially for itch relief. It's been rainy in the upper Midwest recently, which has led to an increase in biting insects. My husband finds the lotion effective immediately after a bite to stop itching. I still need to use a topical antihistamine first due to allergies, but the lotion works well after that. I inadvertently sunburned my legs and decided to try the Sarna lotion to relieve the burning and itching and it worked great! I reapplied before I went to bed and had a comfortable night's sleep. A little goes a long way too. Overall, I'm impressed with the Sarna lotion. The menthol doesn't have an overpowering smell like some products do, and there is a cooling sensation, but it comes on gently, so you won't feel like you need to grab a blanket to warm up. I really wish I'd found the Sarna lotion sooner. We like to take beach vacations on an island with particularly nasty no-see-ums, and I'm usually miserable at night, so the Sarna lotion will be traveling with me from now on.
