Classic Handmade Sharp Japanese Katana Samurai Sword with Scabbard and Single Sword Wood Stand - Choose You Handle (Tsuba) Style

This sword is awesome. Although it’s not as high quality as the more expensive swords (obviously), it more than does the job at a really good price. For beginners, this sword is the perfect one! It looks really nice too, and has a decent durability to it. When I first got it, it could cut through apples pretty well and had decent balancing. After a bit, I dulled it down and my friend and I proceeded to use this in our sword fights. I’ve had this sword for months, clashing it with a heavy longsword for about 3 nights a week and the handle only broke recently. I definitely recommend this for beginners!

This thing can do serious damage to a person's body. It's not as expensive as the other katana on here but it's full tang! The sword doesn't feel cheap! Its actually a real weapon.... its sharp as well. Parents be careful with this one. Real weapon experts and martial artist (such as myself) have fun! This sword is made to be used! Don't get used $700 dollar sword used. Used this one!

Well there I was sleeping and something woke me up...5 min later a knock on the door, guess whom, yes delivery man...and with the sword...extremely early, I'm surprised by this and I'm all excited, I open it up and there it is covered up in a nice little clothe bag. And to my surprise it came with a display stand (wish I had known that ahead of time lol). So I take it out the the bag and began to inspect, beautiful looking so far, then the pegs that hold the blade in the hilt, they look...hastened, if you get what I mean...it sticks out a bit more than I expected and this is on both sides (gonna have to grind it down a bit). So moving on, I inspect the blade itself. It looks well made, pretty sharp. I have 2 issues with this part. 1 The word CHINA is etched into the blade....why the blade! 2 The blade to hilt is...angled...look to picture to understand.The whole sword together is heavy in hand but that just means it's a decent to good make.Pros.Well madeFull tangArrived unbelievably fast(...for me that is)Comes with a nice little display standComes in a clothe bag to protect from scratchingCons (on my sword)Pegs the hold the blade in the hilt stick out a bit to muchHilt to blade is angled (see picture)"CHINA" etched into the blade

Lovely little prop and wall decoration. The blade is centered, handle is cleanly wrapped, and the blade comes pre-waxed to protect it. You WILL have pieces of wood from the sheath making the blade dirty. Expect this. The sheath is otherwise lacquered clean with no visible blemishes.The only faults I've seen can be noted in my pictures as follows:-wooden peg noticeable on handle and protrudes out slightly farther than handle itself-scuffs on metal. Similar minor scuffs on blade.-for those that care, the word "CHINA" has been machined into the blade.All still at a better price (and supposedly better metal) than what you would pay for stainless steel props at novelty stores.Do not expect this to be fully functional despite the material. (The technical reasons are much too long to list). The tl;dr version is that material is not even half of the story. How that metal is machined/heated/handled is far more important than the material itself.

I am really impressed with this sword. I gave it five stars not because the sword itself is a five-star sword, but rather that you get such a product for only $40. Now granted, I have not done any sort of cutting tests with the blade and you can tell that there were some corners cut with the production process, but seriously what would your normal expectations be for $40? It is a quality item for a low price. Like some others have mentioned, I have bought stainless steel sword-like-objects that were much more than this carbon steel, full tang katana. I don't know about the blades tempering or hardening, so I am guessing that is where the difference lies between this sword and the high end ones as well as the more costly fittings. Bottom line, for what most people would want a sword for, this is an unbelievable deal. Just don't swing it at anything harder than cardboard and you should be fine.

I just got my katana and I was super excited. I have been wanting one for a long time. I was aiming to get a high quality $200-$500 katana T10 with the right design but my need for one won. Figured to start small and then work my way up. Found this katana which was for a good deal and said it was sharpened. It is a real katana. Scabbard and everything. Not the highest quality but decent. My only problem is that it is advertised as sharpened and mine isn't that sharp. Now I have to go and sharpen it. 3 stars just for that. I am looking for lethality right out of the box. Oh yeah, it has weight, detail is low (not the flashiest but still cool), it fits me well, the blade is nicely curved (was expecting it to be thicker), overall a decent feel for a katana of this price range.
