Very high quality. Smooth and nutty when warmed. I pair this with my weekly cigar (often a trinidad or romeo y juliet)

One of the best Spanish brandies
I used to turn my nose up at any brandy that wasn’t French. One day, my parents sent me a bottle of Carlos XO for my birthday. Feeling some strange mix of disappointment, guilt and sadness, I poured myself a glass from the admittedly lovely looking bottle but fully expecting to have to drink it in the similar manner to cheap tequila (quickly, to get rid of it before my tastebuds realise what’s happening). Long story short, I’ve never bought a French brandy since! I was an instant convert to Spanish Brandies of all kinds and have now sampled many of the finest that the country has to offer. Without going into any in-depth taste analysis (which I couldn’t do anyway), if you like a sherry/port flavour and enjoy a brandy, Spanish brandy is incredible! I keep coming back to this one though and, at this price point, nothing comes close for me. Only reason that it drops a star is that it costs more than double in the UK than it does buying it directly from Spain.

Superb
Genuinely stunning. Probably the smoothest drink I have ever tasted and I was lucky enough to purchase a bottle of 1917 Croizet for my birthday. Absolutely zero burn and full of flavour. Purchased three bottles in the prime sale: Mount Gay XO, Remey Accord Royal and this one. The others were good but this was phenomenal. Was slightly put off by the unconventional heritage and the over the top packaging but its the real deal. This is a genuine review and my own opinion. You will not be sorry if you buy this.
