Higonokami Folding Knife – SK Steel 120mm Black

This is an awesome knife to have in your collection. The blade was very sharp out of the box. After using a strop the blade is hair popping sharp. It’s a simple design and it works very well. Super slicey and it feels nice in your hand. The pivot will be stiff out of the box but it won’t take too much time to break it in. The knife is a piece of history and at a great price. The handle is about 4&3/4 inches and the blade is 3&1/2. Once you have the knife broken in, single-handed operation will be easy . I’ve purchased two more higonokamis of different sizes since the purchase of this one. Pick yourself up this affordable piece of history you won’t regret it.

I got this as a christmas present and opened it, and i think it’s a pretty clean sharp knife!! it came super fast and seems like a very durable clean nice knife

I'm from the United States and to have a traditional Japanese handmade knife like that is something very honorable I'm very humbled it's an amazing knife thank you very much sir it is wonderful I would recommend this to anyone and I'm grateful to have it I just might buy another one just to beat it up a little bit one of my top four favorite knives I've ever bought again thank you very much sir for your wonderful effort you put into it I'm absolutely in love with it thank you very much for your hard work

I will say the blade is pretty sharp and I haven’t noticed any defects in the blade itself but the thumb lever was chipped when I received it. As for ease of use the grip is kinda sharp and digs into your palm and the thumb lever is hard to open one handed. There also isn’t a safety lock or clip.

It's a good quality knife, or seems to be. The blade steel seems pretty hard. I'm trying to grind the primary grind on out until I apex it(zero or scandi grind). It doesnt lock, it also is very stiff to open at first. I'm hoping it losens up some. Also comes very dull, you will have to sharpen this. It does feel sturdy and very I'm usable.

knife is a high carbon steel folder. The only issue is prone to rust, but with some TLC. It will be ok. Made in the traditional way by Japanese smiths.
