I’m setting up a home studio and these lights are a complete game changer. They’re cheap but very sturdy and give off a beautiful light.I can’t recommend them highly enough for any beginner. The singular down side I can see is that they do not have a battery and so are really not portable. You can only take them places with an outlet, unless you have a separate generator or battery pack.I gave “portability” 5 stars because they are compact and light enough to take places, you just need a battery pack or outlet. I absolutely love mine. Will definitely buy more!!

Just like most Godox flashes, this is an excellent strobe flash at a very reasonable price. It's easy to use, works well, and has just the right amount of customization. My only wish was that the flash could stop down to even weaker settings than 1/16 which is its lower limit.

Ive been using this strobe for about two months now. It works great. Kicking myself NOW though because I should have gotten a strobe that ccould go lower than 1/16. Another issue I have is that the reflector that came with the monostrobe is NOT the standard 7 inch with umbrella holder. This is an issue for me, as I just ordered the GODOX barn door kit and it does NOT fit the one that came with this flash. So now I have to order a standard model. Just things to keep in mind.

These strobe lights are excellent and provide a cost effective way for beginners to start portrait photography. With a power bank they can also be used outdoors. The only problem with using these strobes outside is that they do not have High Speed Sync to allow for higher shutter speeds, this however can be worked around with Nutrual Density Filters which allow slower shutter speeds still producing dramatic results. I really like these strobe lights,I don't see an advantage to purchasing more expensive units.
