Fallout: Season One Amazon Exclusive (4K Ultra HD Steelbook)

I’m absolutely thrilled to own the Fallout Season One 4k Steelbook which is an Amazon Exclusive. The steelbook itself is exceptionally well made, with a solid, durable feel and a smooth glossy finish that really shows off the artwork. The design is stunning and compliments the series perfectly, capturing the atmosphere and iconic imagery of the Fallout universe in a way that makes it more than just packaging to me, it’s a collectible piece worth displaying. The discs are held securely inside, and the overall craftsmanship gives me confidence this edition will last for years. As a fan, I couldn’t be happier to add this to my collection, and it truly feels like a premium tribute to the series. This first season also pairs wonderfully with the various games, making the whole experience feel even richer and more connected to the Fallout world I love.

This show is what a videogame adaptation needs to be! It’s what any good adaptation needs to be! It’s what any good piece of visual storytelling needs to be! It’s faithful to the soul of the source material! Great writing, great cast, and all around excellent!Even my Dad, who hates everything, especially if I recommend it, and especially hates videogames (I didn’t tell him it’s based on a game though)… he really liked this show! He clearly was trying to hate it throughout the first episode, but he couldn’t keep up the act and wanted to keep watching.Admittedly, I haven’t rewatched it on these actual physical discs yet… but I watched it twice on Prime when it first came out! So, can’t speak on the transfer quality, or the extras… but if they’re half as good as the show itself, it’s more than worth it to keep on the shelf!

The series is excellent. Whether you're a fan of the games or not, it's such a great adaptation that you will not be disappointed in either case. The bluray set itself is great, too, with high quality video and some really cool special features.

I was a latecomer to this series, but finally got around to viewing it after many months. I'm extremely pleased to say that not only is it completely enjoyable, but it very much could be the best TV adaptation of a game mythos. The story is compelling with balances of terrific acting, comedic notes, awesome setpieces, and superb writing. Can't think of a single complaint. Very highly recommended for fans of the franchise or anyone just looking for a fun and darkly-comedic romp.

I'm more about the lore and world of Fallout than the games as I started with Fallout 4 and was such a pain to play with how often it'd crash... So I love post apocalyptic and dystopian stories. Fallout is one of if not the best. Asides from the game engine being older than me. The games are great but the world and it's lore are the best and that's what the show is built on.We're only at the first season and the show is off to a great start! I loved it so much I had to snatch the Steelbook when I saw it. Let's hope this series delivers! As a GOT fan and most HBO shows, I've been let down alot.They are doing a terrific job so far! Season 1 was great I hope it stays that way!

I usually avoid movies and TV shows based on games. It's difficult to translate what makes a game good into what makes a film good. In the Fallout games series, it's a very open world, and a player can pretty much create their own storyline as they wish. But in a TV series, the viewer doesn't get to interact in a tangible way.Fallout as a game has a solid and complex world built around it. I've played all releases of the game since the very first one many years ago. A challenge is there for the writers of this TV series to incorporate the existing lore to meet the approval of long-time fans as well as newcomers. Fallout as a game is many things...there are moments of extreme violence and yet many other moments of dark humor and satire, and it's built in a natural way. Surprisingly, the TV series does all of these things well and also in an original way. Casting is great, with both well-known actors and ones I hadn't heard of. The sets are awesome, with many little touches from the games. My only minor complaint is that the characters too often find themselves with survivors that turn out to be bad people; a plotline used over and over again the Walking Dead series. But I'm definitely looking forward to Season 2, and hoping the quality stays as high as this first season.The 4K set has outstanding picture and sound quality, and worth spending a few extra bucks for.

A terrific show and 4k pictures and surround sound is magnificent. Also the steelbook packaging is so cool. It even came with some art cards that are fun.

The show makers did a fantastic job, capturing the feel of the fallout video game franchise. Brutal violence, and super cheesy humor mashed together. Perfection.
