A long time ago I worked for a banker from Argentina, who would bring these back whenever he went down to visit. That was 20+ years ago. Recently I was reading a book and the characters were eating alfajores. this brought back so many memories of these treats, I decided to search alfajores on amazon and low and behold I found them! They are still as amazing as I remember, and I've ordered them twice already. The Argentino ships out promptly and packs the alfajores with care. Literally a box in a box wrapped with foil bubble wrap, placed in the mailer envelope and taped up tightly. They arrived from Argentina to New York in perfect condition!!

I’ve ordered from The Argentino before earlier this year, I got the Cachafaz alfajores. So I decided to try the Havanna ones this time.First things first, the customer service is great. He sent it out on the day that I ordered, and was immediately shipped out of the port the next day. The box of 12 was wrapped with a layer of cardboard that thankfully protected the alfajores.No doubt the meringue has some breakage due to its nature being fragile, but I put it in the fridge and it tastes exceptional. I prefer it to the chocolate one cause it was too crumbly for my liking in terms of texture. The meringue version is definitely my favourite!Having flown 10,000km to me and still delivered in good condition says a lot. Will purchase again when I start craving for them haha.

These are AMAZING for anyone who does not know them. A friend from Argentina makes the best home made versions. Wish these came in the black and white versions. So delicious I dare anybody to try and eat just one. Packed in foil, then plastic then cardboard with a cellophane overwrap, so they come super fresh. I have tried other seller's products and they came so dry they fell apart and I had to ask for a refund, which I got.

This is the best brand of alfajors. They tasted great and came sealed within the box for freshness. A note on the vacuum seal package indicates that you need to eat these within 20 days of opening. Not a problem, unless you want to savor them over time. Another thing is that I purchased these in August and the expiration date is listed in September. The flavor was not off, but I would hope that the expiration date was further off from the time of purchase. Steep price for the amount you get, but well-worth fulfilling a craving.
