Works great!
So glad I bought this kit! The color panel helped find the correct match. You can’t even see the crack anymore. Highly, highly recommend. After applying the paste, I scrapped off the excess. Then let it sit for a minute, and took a light damp paper towel and scrubbed off over the crack and excess. Looks like the original tile now.

Good product
The CalFlor FL49133 TileFix, Mix2Match Tile & Stone Repair Kit has become an essential tool in my home maintenance arsenal, offering a convenient and effective solution for repairing damaged tiles and stone surfaces. This versatile kit provides everything needed to seamlessly restore the appearance of tiles and stone, making it an invaluable asset for DIY enthusiasts and homeowners alike. One of the standout features of the TileFix kit is its ease of use. With clear instructions and intuitive design, even those with minimal experience can achieve professional-looking results. The kit includes a variety of color compounds that can be mixed to match the exact shade of the damaged surface, ensuring a seamless repair that blends seamlessly with the surrounding area. The versatility of the TileFix kit is another key advantage. Whether repairing chips, cracks, or small holes in tiles or stone surfaces, this kit provides a comprehensive solution for a wide range of repair needs. The included putty knife and mixing spatula make it easy to apply the repair compound with precision, ensuring a smooth and uniform finish.Durability is also worth noting, as the repair compound dries to a strong and resilient finish that can withstand the rigors of daily use. Once applied, the repaired area blends seamlessly with the rest of the surface, providing long-lasting results that stand the test of time. While the TileFix kit offers impressive results, I deducted half a star due to the limited quantity of repair compound provided. Depending on the size and scope of the repair project, additional compound may be required, which could necessitate purchasing multiple kits for larger jobs.In conclusion, the CalFlor FL49133 TileFix, Mix2Match Tile & Stone Repair Kit is a valuable asset for anyone looking to maintain the appearance and integrity of their tile and stone surfaces. With its ease of use, versatility, and durable results, this kit offers a convenient and cost-effective solution for DIY repairs. Keep a TileFix kit on hand for quick and seamless repairs whenever needed. Highly recommended!

I was impressed
Quite frankly, I was not expecting much from this product. To my surprise, the color matching is superb and is very easy to apply. Just follow the instruction exactly as shown in the video they provide with the scanning code and you will be amazed too.

Laminate the Mixing Board if you want to use this more than once!
So, it took me a while to get around to mixing this product up. Easy enough instructions. You need to have a 'color eye' to get the colors right. (don't believe the color mix chart) Still no big deal. Instructions included not very clear so I went to the website to watch video. Made them a little more clear. I think I did a fairly good job of matching up my tile fixes....thankfully, they were very small chips that really weren't all that bad to begin with. At any rate, why would a company give you all necessary items to mix, etc. but make the MIXING BOARD (probably one of the most critical elements) out of PAPER? So, you are only supposed to mix this stuff up one time? Hello? The mixing bowl and mixing/application tool(loose term) are plastic. The color mixing stick is wood and THE MIXING BOARD is CARDBOARD. Really? That is just about stupid. And for the price of this kit, it is ridiculous. I am disappointed. Now, I will have to 'estimate' the amount of putty (was fairly easy using the mixing board). Everything else is set up as mult-use, why not the mixing board?

Works great if you know what you are doing
First off, the results, as pictured, look really good for polished stone tile.I should note that I've been a professional traditional media artist for 20+ years, so working with stone patching color mixing and faux texturing wasn't too hard.If you read the a accompaying instructions you should be good. With that said, some notes; the black is super black, dilute it with water and use sparingly!! As well as most other colors. If you are a novice you should study basic color mixing first, particularly RGB method. The kit comes with many common stone colors if you dont feel like mixing the basics BUT if you want an exact match you will be doing a lot of trial an error and you will have to use the included red, green, and blues. The patching base compound in the tube is kinda minimal, only enough for about a square inch.As the instructions say, patch dark, then let dry, then texture with a lighter mix using a frialed cotton swab. You will need more cotton swabs than the kit has!!The compound looks lighter when wet but dries darker!! Do go light on the first passThe final lacquer coat leaves much to be desired. It comes with no polishing tools and if you have a perfectly flat stone floor tile to patch them you need to sand it afterwards.Overall it's a good kit but I think it needs more patching compound.
