COLDEST Insulated Straw Cap Flip Top Lid - Multi-Compatible with Flask Mouth - Black Standard (for 12/21 Gallon Lids)

Good top, makes it easier to drink from the bottle with no worries about spillage. Top fits my hydro flask like it was made specifically for it. It arrived quickly, well packaged without the overkill. Two straws with a brush to clean them and the drink top. No issues with fitting the straws to the top and cutting the straws to fit was pretty easy as well. The quality of the product seems to be pretty high and it appears to be pretty durable as well, though time will tell. Overall it appears to be a great product for a good price. The only thing I would change if I could would be to soften the drink tip, maybe make it out of silicone as opposed to a harder plastic but that’s just personal preference.

I've been using my hydro flask bottle for several months and has been great. However, the regular cap that comes with the bottle makes a lot of noise when opening and closing. It is also a bit tough to drink out of when walking or doing anything active (it'll just spill everywhere).I was looking at the hydro flask sport cap and was turned off by the bad reviews of it leaking. I saw this "The Coldest Water" straw cap as a "frequently purchased" product and saw the good reviews. Decided to give it a try.As usual, amazon shipping is great and received it in 2 days. I received instructions from the seller on how to cut and insert the straw a day before so I had an idea what to expect.When I received it, i gave it a quick wash (please wash it because the rubber tip has a slight manufacture scent to it, which I expected). I cut the straw to size at an angle. The straw is soft enough to cut but hard enough to last. The package also came with 2 straws as well as a straw cleaner.I inserted the straw into the rubber straw holder on the cap and screw it on my bottle. Immediately, I tried the leak test by turning it upside down, shaking it, etc. No leaks. I've been using it for 2 days now and have not leaked on me.One major "bad" thing I noticed is the tip is a little tight to rotate out to start drinking. There is a little plastic platform where you can use your finger to push down but takes a bit of finesse. I wish there was a mechanism that would allow easier rotation as well as prevent touching the tip with your fingers.Some smaller things I found is there is a loud "suction" sound when you finish your sip but I assume this would be the case for any "suction/straw" caps. Also I noticed I need to suck a little harder when the bottle is full.I wouldn't remove 1-star from the cap from these "issues" though. Still a great cap so far.

i think it works great! i didn’t want to pay for the hydro flask brand name cap, and this one had good reviews so i bought it. i’ve had it for about 4 months now and it is completely leak proof you just have to make sure you screw it on tightly. My only issue is that sometimes it is hard to drink from it. you have to really suck to get the water out. i think i’ve come to the conclusion that after washing, if the cap is not dried completely, including the little cracks, the left over water prevents the cap from working properly. you just have to blow out the extra water.I like how there are 2 straws that come with it and even a little cleaner. the bristle cleaner is so useful! there’s a lot of gunk that comes out when i clean it! you can cut the straws to whatever size you need and it is easy to install.The little square handle kind of hurts my hand when i’m holding it, and the clip it comes with isn’t very sturdy and came off (and i lost it) after about a week. I replaced the bad clip with one of my own and it fixed that issue!overall, although this isn’t THE BEST product out there, it does the job and i’m satisfied, especially for the price! i recommend :)

I love the coldest water container itself, but this lid, so far, has been horrible!The first one I had fell from my waist height and exploded in half. It has insulation inside the cap, which is kinda cool, but yeah it just exploded.I contacted Coldest about about, heard back nothing. I bought another cap again. This one came in and does not work properly. When I drink out of it I can only take a small sip before it builds pressure and nothing comes up. If I have a carbonated drink and the straw is closed, when I open it soda shoots out all over everything. I got it all over my laptop!!! Luckily it was the keyboard and has not proven to have damaged anything. I again contacted Coldest about this and have heard NOTHING back from them except an add offering me like 20% buying more from them.I REALLY want to like this cap and this company since their container is really really good, but they are making it VERY hard.
