Damalgam, also known as Damalgam, is a resin derived from the Gypterocarpaky trees in India and East Asia, primarily from the Shore family (Barano Carps). Most are produced by tapping the wood. But some are collected from the ground in fossilized form. Gum changes from clear to pale yellow and fossils are gray brown. Dunmergam is a triterpenoid resin that contains many triterpene and its oxidized products. What is Damar Resin used? In enclosed paints, dammer-resin is the most common ingredient for hardening beeswax and increasing its melting temperature. Dammar polishes wax to a higher and more translucent surface to prevent wax blooming. Make your own fierce media, it must melt in beeswax and be tensioned. It also keeps the paint translucent and prevents blooming (whitening). Can also be polished to a glossy finish. Dumber resin mixed with beeswax is an individual favorite. Typically, between 4 to 8 measurements of beeswax, depending on how difficult the result is, it is one measurement of the dumber resin. You can make damper varnish by dissolving resin into terpentine. Please note: Resin you will receive may vary slightly in size, shape and color from what is shown in the pictures.
