how many cubic feet per min does it move?

Not sure abt CFM. But it extremely moves the air. it makes an uncomfortable garage comfortable again.I love it.

Can this be used with plugging it into a car or truck?

You may can but don't know. It uses a regular electric outlet to plug it into which is a 120 volts I believe to power it. So it may work on a truck or car. May need to use a power inverter.But again I do know .

Can anyone tell me the diameter (outside dimension of the housing) of the 2042?

According to the data sticker the unit is made in China.
