Safe, good buckle around back. Loose shoulder straps
My daughter does really well with these. The buckle is harder to open which makes me feel better that it can’t happen to open on its own or her older brother can’t “help” her and remove it from either. The shoulder straps slide- only complaint. I wound up tying those.

Got this for the kids after they outgrew their other jackets. This year they’re more experienced swimmers this year so these made sense. They are adjustable around the waist and shoulders but the shoulder straps never stay adjusted. It wasn’t a problem but for some it may be annoying. The waist ring and arm wings fit snug enough. Our kids are required to wear a device anytime they’re near the pool. My granddaughter is a little smaller than the boys so she didn’t fit in it properly. The boys are in 5-6 but she’s in a 2T still so it didn’t work for her yet.These aren’t official life saving devices and they still require supervision especially in a lake or River. The pool water is calm so it’s not as big of a concern.

Cute but cheap
This floaty has been a game-changer for our pool days. It keeps my toddler secure without restricting movement, and the snug fit gives them confidence in the water. But i will say the design is a little on the cheaper side, its easy to put on, and dries quickly. A great balance of safety and fun—highly recommend for little swimmers!

Cheaply made
I don’t know if it depends on which one you get, but I got the orange one with the fish on it and when it arrived, the fabric was so awful and just the way it was sewn together. It literally looked and felt like it would fall apart after one use. To be honest, I didn’t even try it on my kid before I returned it because the fabric alone made me think that it would give my child a rash on their arms. Also, the straps were so cheaply made. I didn’t think they would even do anything, and that was kind of the whole point of me buying it.
