Rub 'n Buff The Original Wax Metallic Finish European Gold [Pack of 3 ]

I used Rub 'n Buff to paint a 31×23in frame and I was surprised that I used only half of the contents of one tube. Best spread with a finger for a smooth, blended texture. I tried other tools, but the finish was too uneven and streaky for me. Thicker than acrylic or oil paint. Buffing after it dries, which it does pretty quickly, makes the finish seem more shiny. I recommend leaving it to dry for a longer period of time though, because with more pressure during buffing, I found that a noticeable amount rubs off. Same with applying a new layer, a bit clumped alike to eraser shavings. Nevertheless, I didn't face any major issues and I'm satisfied with this product.

This product is absolutely amazing. So easy to work with, and very pretty color. A little goes a long way.

Used the European Gold to paint a dark brown wood frame, left the brush strokes to show some of the dark underneath and it turned out great. The product seems to dry quick on the brush so you have to work fast and in small sections. It also gets a little crumbly as it dries but the crumbs come off easily with brush passing over it and it dries smoothly.

I bought a beautiful lamp, but the base was painted very bright gold. I toned the gold down with European Gold Rub and Buff. Looks fabulous now and it was easy to do.

I was introduced to Rub 'n Buff when I was a display designer at Michael's in Medford, OR. If you have furniture or almost any type of hard surface item that needs some touching up, or adding a touch of class to it, then this is what you need. Rub a little over the item, and then buff it to a nice finish. I used 'Old Gold' around the edge of a used coffee table to add some class, and now it looks beautiful. It's worth giving it a try.

The media could not be loaded. Used on wood. Unprimed. Very strong odor. Hard to coat intricate surfaces. Stains skin.

I started using this product probably at least 40 years ago. It still works great.
