I LOVE MY BABY PANCAKE (warning:detailed REVIEW below))
REVIEW FOR THE COMPANY/SELLER TELEFLORA Pilea or Pancake (or Chinese Money) Plant:Bad reviews on this particular plant and seller, from what I've seen, the people left the plant in the mini-planter it was shipped in which, come on, we are supposed to transplant our new plant babies within 24 to 48 hours of arrival (I did mine about 10 hours after arrival because the planter was entirely too small for my baby's roots to grow happily) so that said, my review of the plant itself:**BEAUTIFUL, LITTLE PLANT BABY** I couldn't be happier. Not gonna lie, at first when I saw the little package mailer it came in, I was a little hesitant on opening it to peek inside. But, inside was a little box. Much to my surprise, I opened the box and saw my little baby pancake, and she is ADORABLE! It had clear plastic wrapped loosely around the head of the plant, the leaves, the stems, down to the mini pot. Then it had a rubber band around the base of the stems, and that is how it stayed in place through transit. It had those plastic bubbles (not bubble wrap, but those bigger air packaging things, don't know the name). I unwrapped it GENTLY AND CAREFULLY* and she was definitely droopy, but with a little love, a little water, a bigger pot, and some plant food, my baby perked straight up, get this, THE NEXT DAY! I only waited about 10 hours before transplanting to the bigger home, like I said above, and that's my personal preference, I like to look at my plant babies in their homes, happy, and sitting in indirect sunlight. The soil I was told to use from a diff online nursery (whose much more pricey) was to use a cactus/succulent mix, I went with the Epsoma Soil, Organic, from Amazon, and it is a BEAUTIFUL soil. I also ordered the osmocote plant food (from Amazon as well) the one in the pink and white bottle, then I sprinkled some "joyful dirt" (also from Amazon, its a green and white bottle) where the roots were placed in the soil, and my plant baby seems to love it because the very next morning her stems were erect, and her leaves all a beautiful bright green. The pancake came with no brown or yellow discoloration, even the soil was still a tad damp.Bottom Line? If you love plants, this is an amazing plant, as long as the seller you get it from is TeleFlora, and It's for beginners and vets alike. My baby sure is a cute little thing! I cannot cannot cannot recommend this seller enough- they know how to pack the plants for safe transit and they're sending healthy baby plants right to your door during this pandemic I mean, thank you to the seller for not only still fulfilling our orders despite this tragic virus wreaking havoc on our nation, but also taking time to pack the plants nicely and safely to arrive in a good state! Sending so much love and prayers of protection to everyone whose reading this review - sorry it's so long, I like to type detailed reviews so people can get a really good picture of what they're buying, or if they're still in the fence of buying. I hate reviews that's say IT'S GREAT, I LOVE IT! or I HATED IT, SENT IT BACK! Like really people?? How the heck are others going to determine anything from THAT? LOLI hope everyone is safe and staying healthy-> I'm praying for us all to get thru this difficult time safely!

I LOVE MY NEW PLANT!!! 🪴
**UPDATE: It's been a week and my plant has perked up some since it first arrived. Will repot soon!**ORIGINAL POST:I ordered the 2" chinese money plant last Monday and it arrived this Tuesday- I live in Southern California. I was worried the plant might be damaged/wilted by the time it arrived, especially since its been cold and raining these past couple of weeks out here.Plant arrived in a small box, wrapped in plastic with a stick inside the pot and secured by a rubber band. The box also had large bubble packets inside for added cushion along with care instructions.I was pleasantly surprised to see that all the leaves were a healthy, vibrant green. I even noticed some new leaves coming in! Soil was still moist, but not too soggy to cause root rot. There was no damage to the plant whatsoever- just a little droopy due to shipping. Also, no pests! I'm hopeful that my plant will perk up in a few days- I plan to repot in a week or two once I'm confident my plant has fully acclimated to its new home. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase and will order from this company again in the future!

The pictures say it all
To start, I have many plants and have ordered three from amazon in the past. I have done my research and caring for plants and have never had any problems with my previous orders.Last week my order of two pileas came in. They both came in with 14 leaves, soil was soggy (with what I think was root rot). One had two blackened leaves and the other one had some yellow. Both had weird dark spots. Decided to prune the black leaves off and hold off on watering. I hoped that they would bounce back and that they were just traumatized from shipping.Day two they both had more black and and spots were darker. It was obvious it wasn’t doing well but I waited another day to see if it would get better.Day three and there are even more black leaves that need to be pruned. One leaf even popped off when I just touched it.Flash foreword to today approx 1 week later and they have lost 9 leaves each due to blackening from root rot. There are three leaves left on each plant and they are unhealthy. We had to re-pot them yesterday in an attempt to get rid of the unhealthy roots but it might be too late. Tried to reach out to the seller and sent photos but they have not responded. Getting tired of waiting for a response. This has to be the most disappointing purchase I have ever made. And I feel that the seller has just brushed the issue to the side. Would not recommend.

Delicate Balance
The media could not be loaded. Arrived as a tiny live plant, just 2 little leaves; packaged very well. This is the 3rd one I have purchased and (after much trial and error) I have had it about 5 months. It is getting big for the pot and could probably be split into 3 by now, but I’m really afraid to upset her.The care instructions do say indirect sunlight. To be clear, this plant loves bright indirect sunlight. Behind a dim curtain was not enough, but full sun is way too much. My plant is in a window, in a sunny spot but precisely where the window frame casts a shadow. All the leaves will turn toward the window, no matter how I turn the pot, the next morning they’ll be facing the window again. The leaves will burn (they will actually blacken like someone held a flame to them) when the sun is too hot. The instructions also say to water when the soil feels dry. I find that any top-watering causes leaves to turn yellow and fall off. It would probably do well with bottom or wick watering, but I use an automatic glass globe waterer (just because I like them.) I refill the globe about once per week, and add 1 spritz of miracle grow food directly to the soil when I refill the globe. This is one of my favorite plants.
