Carr's Table Water Crackers, Baked Snack Crackers, Party Snacks, Original (6 Boxes)

Fresh crackers and received many boxes for a great price!

These are fantastic biscuits/crackers and they go so well with a hearty cheese. They are often times hard to find in the brick and mortar stores, as mentioned in other reviews, and I was so happy to find them on Amazon. I am just posting a warning because after having ordered these several times throughout the year—six shrink-wrapped boxes per order— on my last two orders I have only received one individual box of crackers. Not the six boxes that constitute one order, just one box. The first time this happened a couple of days ago, I called Amazon and they were quick to refund my purchase to Amazon gift card so that I could re-order— as this was some kind of internal glitch. So I re-ordered, and received my order today, and again, instead of receiving the shrink wrapped, six box order (42 oz), I open the Amazon box and once again there is just one individual box of crackers —not the six pack that I ordered. One 7 oz box of crackers, for $20. There’s obviously something going on in the order/fulfillment/shipping department, and wires are crossed, because I can’t seem to get the six boxes that I order, they’re only shipping out one small individual box. I hope they fix this problem soon… As I really love these crackers and would like to continue ordering them… But as of right now I will not be ordering them because I don’t have the time to be calling Amazon every other day because the order is getting mixed up. Maybe it will be different for you… But this is my experience of the past few days trying to order these crackers…

Carr's whole wheat crackers are delicious, wholesome, and filling.These Carr crackers are light and flakey and have a very slightly buttery feel. The taste is slightly sweet, but also "grainy" and wholesome. The flavor is very complex. They crumble a bit, but hold together well. They support cheese and meats well.All the boxes arrived in great condition, with just a few broken crackers. The expiration date is about a year out, so there's plenty of time to eat them.Indeed, I might eat them a little too quickly. They are like potato chips, I can't have just one... or ten for that matter. Thankfully, they are made from simple ingredient and the calorie count is modest. However, if I eat too many I get an upset stomach, and by too many I mean twenty or so.All in all... super delicious.

1/19/21 UPDATE: Have ordered more Carr’s While Wheat Crackers, and they’re as good as normal.I want to add a detail, that I didn’t think to add to original review: The cellophane sleeve of the crackers that tasted so terribly, had (3), what looked like dried epoxy/plastic “threads” (about 1/8” W x 2” L ) on the exterior! None of the remaining packages in the shipment it came in, nor in subsequent shipments, has had dried epoxy/plastic on them, and taste fine. Was someone gluing something around the product assembly that day, or did something like plastic, melt onto one of the packages, that ended up in that unfortunate shipment? I wonder.ORIGINAL (poor) REVIEW:I adore Carr’s Whole Wheat Crackers, eaten them for years and have had good quality product until today! They were INEDIBLE, FOUL tasting, STALE and, broken, crackers! A total surprise and disappointment.3.75 hours later I still have the awful aftertaste, despite brushing my teeth, drinking water, and eating chocolate to try to override the bad tasting cracker, that I’d spit out right away!FORTUNATELY, AMAZON “...made it right...” and is authorizing a credit to the original account, for which I am very grateful. And, they said they would send the feedback up the line to the seller/manufacturer. I hope so as there may be a quality control issue. (The expiration date on the box isn’t until May 2021, BTW, so they shouldn’t have tasted so horribly stale).I have bought these several times before from Amazon and never had a problem. Now I will be more cautious.Buyers beware if you get boxes with the May 11, 2021 expiry date.

Some of the other reviews mention that the crackers tasted a little “off”. The ones we received were fine, but sometimes the same crackers from local stores had a kind of Oil Gone Funky taste. Probably has to do with how long they’ve been in transit and on the shelf. And maybe slightly inadequately airproof packaging at the factory.Our problem was that the boxes were not adequately padded in the box Amazon shipped them in. Nearly every cracker was busted. We usually put a dab of peanut butter or jam on them and have them for dessert. We just us the toppings to attach the cracker chunks into a kind of Carr’s jam Oreo and nom-nom out.If you’re planning to put these out as elegant party canapés, best re-think it. Get them or a substitute from the local store so you can make sure the box hasn’t suffered abuse.

Love the crackers and have ordered them before. This time, instead of the wrapped 6 pack, only one box arrived. Contacted Amazon and supposedly it's being resent. I will update this review then.
