These things are great & loud enough to hear even from the basement. I put these all over the basement & in my furnace hot water closet. This thing gives you enough time to get to the problem & shut the source off before to much damage happens. They are so sensitive that it picks up the moisture in your fingers when to touch the contacts & the sensor detaches with a long wire so you can leave the sensor downstairs & mount the alarm in a closet upstairs for even more protection. Runs on a 9v battery & i change them out once a year. Cheap protection for the price

After yet another water leak from my refrigerator that caused major cabinetry damage and a mold nightmare (leaking for a long time without my knowing), I decided to take action after repairs. Installed this (with a battery eliminator) and within a week after my repairs, it went off and saved me- it was a *different* leak than before! It is very loud. I bought another one to place next to the washing machine, which has also leaked in the past (using batteries in that one).

It didnt have all the small tweakable things about it like another one I bought at the same time, but it is far sturdier built and I like the design better. I used this one in my basement, as I trust it a little more and it is very loud. The other I have under my sink.It's easy to use. It tested very well with water. It's small size and long lasting battery life made it nice and easy to use with little stress needed for a while.

I bought two of these, one behind my fridge and one under my water heater. If I touch the contacts with my fingers, it will ring. I wish it had a low-battery alarm though.

Been using these for years. Just remolded a master bath & wasn't going to risk any water leaks & subsequent damage to my new $7K vanities. These are like insurance...Hope you never hear them but when you do, your very happy. But these are much cheaper than insurance. Put them in bathrooms, kitchens & laundry rooms.

The extension detection is what brought me back time and time again. In the past 20 years, I have purchased more than 10, and the quality and design have stayed the same. Please don't ever change it, as the build quality and functionality just work. I have one installed next to the water heater, washer, and kitchen sink for all my rental units. It has saved me tons of money on water damage.

I wish I had these purchased earlier, not waiting till a pipe burst flooded half my basement! I will order some more to use in the laundry room, under the kitchen sink, storage room with water heater.

I’ve bought these in the past and like them a lot. They are simple to install and have a sensor that can be placed in very tight/small spaces. Very reliable
