This is the perfect ice cream scoop. My husband has a little obsession with ice cream scoops and wanted one that would make nice round classic scoop shapes. I got this for him as a gift and at first he was put out -- "I said I wanted one that's dishwasher safe!" he finally told me. This is NOT dishwasher safe! But it is so easy to clean in the sink with a little hot water and a touch of soap, it's no trouble at all, so he finally came around and started to use it, and now he goes out of his way to use it.What I really wanted to mention was how comfortable this was to use. I also use it, of course, and I've got very short, small hands, and some carpal tunnel issues that make gripping less than fun. This handle is deceptively large and when I first held it, I didn't think it was comfortable, but it works really well despite my grip issues. Even with the hardest, most frozen ice cream, I can just hold the scoop for a few seconds, then dig in and get what I need.I find the 3 ounce size perfect -- when you start to scoop you can just stop when you get what you want, or you can keep pushing the scoop into the ice cream and roll up a larger amount of ice cream. It's shaped perfectly for that and works like a charm. Definitely recommended.

I've worked in restaurants all my life and this is the scoop of choice. Nothing else comes close. No moving parts and it's filled with a fluid that helps to keep the ice cream from freezing to the scoop. Works great and is almost indestructible as long as you don't put it in the dishwasher.I will repeat: DO NOT PUT THIS IN THE DISHWASHER

I had given up on finding the "perfect" ice cream scoop in spite of considering the Zeroll for a long time. However, after breaking TWO of our old ice cream scoops within a week of one another, I finally bit the bullet and decided to give the Zeroll a try.Now, I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to buy this little beauty.This ice cream scoop is AMAZING!!! We eat a LOT of ice cream (and I have the waistline to prove it) and I have never owned a scooper that cuts through hard ice cream the way the Zeroll does. Prior to owning this scooper, we would leave our ice cream sitting out for 5-10 minutes to make it easier to scoop. Now we scoop it with ease straight from the freezer.I was a little apprehensive with the fact that it couldn't go into the dishwasher, but that is a now a non-issue. I run it under hot water with a little bit of dishsoap and wallah! It's clean and ready to go back in the drawer within a few minutes.I highly recommend this ice scoop!!

I've had this scoop for a couple of months now. I was lucky and got it when the price dipped below $20. It is much easier to use than the scoop I had been using before (one that's lasted over 20 years). This scoop works as advertised. It cuts through the harder ice creams I've used it on very easily, and I get nice, round scoops. I tend to have warm hands, and maybe that helps make it even easier. Although, there is one possible drawback to having warm hands - when scooping, the ice cream touching the scoop melts slightly. It's not a big deal, but on warmer days, it tends to start the ice cream dripping off a cone sooner, and the ice cream in the carton may also get slightly melted.

I probably spent too much time researching ice cream scoops before I bought this, partially because (not being a kitchen guru) I wasn't sure what size scoop was "standard" for ice cream. Finally settled on this one because of the reviews and the unique liquid in the handle.Scoop is well-made, although In not sure that the liquid in the handle makes any difference.I chose the one that was "black" in appearance because it was nice looking. Despite my warnings, husband ran it through the dishwasher after the first use and ruined the finish which was, in my opinion, the best part of it. Didn't impact the functionality, but it's actually ugly now.

Cuts through the ice cream without too much force or extra effort. This was a replacement for the one similar that my Son put in the dishwasher and ruined the internal chemical to facilitate the temperature transfer to enable the scoop to cut through the ice cream efficiently. Now that I have a new one, even really solid ice cream is a no effort scooping process. Great when you do not want to struggle when you just want a nice dessert! Thank You.

I really like this ice cream scoop.The color is good and the build is beyond solid.I was a little concerned about the scoop size when I ordered but it turned out perfect.I would definitely recommend this product.

BEWARE!! There is something VERY WRONG with this ice-cream scooper, Do NOT buy this. There is some black toxic coating that is on it, that came off while trying to get out the ice-cream. It did not easily come off my hands and coating the chocolate ice-cream I was scooping with some black substance. I dont know what it was BUT BEWARE, you do NOT want to ingest this.
