We have repaired a closet door numerous times. This works well. Magnet is strong and looks like it will last longer than the other repairs we have done. Money well spent. Cheap fix for closet doors.

I recently purchased the JQK Closet Magnetic Door Ball Catch Hardware, and I am extremely happy with it. The installation was incredibly easy and took me less than 5 minutes.It was a perfect fit, sliding right into the slot where my old, ball-style catch had been. The previous catch was worn out, but this new one feels very sturdy. The doors now close very smoothly and securely.This product is a fantastic and simple upgrade for anyone looking to replace old or failing door catches.

This worked exactly as it was designed, but the instructions for installing it were not the greatest. When attaching the strikeplate, it is important to make room for the three "bumps" on the underside of the plate (the two screw holes and the opening within which would sit the ball bearing). I used drill bits and drilled shallow holes for this purpose and it worked very well...but NOTHING was stated about this in the instruction sheet. It did, however, work exactly as I needed it to. I would even say it was a good value. I will likely buy and install more of these.

This was just what I needed for the application. I installed this catch on a pantry door so all you needed to do was pull it to open, and push to close. Very handy if you have your hands full of stuff, and you can' twist a knob...

Love these. We had family staying over. I adjusted the catch a little tighter and our dogs were kept out of the room being used as a temporary bedroom. Adjust them back again and I do not wake everyone up when I get ready for work.

I installed these today. I drilled a 3/4 inch hole straight down in the top of the door. about 2/3 inch deep. I didn't carve out where the plates attach, but it still looks pretty good. Close and open the door a few times it leaves a mark on the door jam so you know where to install the strike plate.After installing the ball and spring in the door I drilled the hole in the door jam using the 3/4 inch bit and wiggled it to the left and right to get it ablong. All this might sound messy, but it gets covered by the strike plate.So far, they are working great. And they are easily adjustable up and down by turning the ball and spring housing. Great for keeping double doors closed but not locked.

Works ok. If magnet were stronger it would be perfect. I may swap it if I find a stronger one.
