GREAT PRODUCT - Keeps bugs of my plants
I love this product.I used it to keep bugs of my roses plants, bay trees and Japanese maples - it's worked so well. I apply it using a hand sprayer mixed with water and Castile soap, you can find a recipe onlie regarding what ratios to use but roughly 1 tablespoon of neem, 2 tablespoons of soap to 2 litres of water seems to do the job for me.It does smell, but not that bad and the lid keeps all smells contained. It does congeal go very thick / solid when not in use, but a quick soak in warm water returns it to a useable oil. I wear gloves when handling and spraying and I don't spray when it's windy.Would recommend if wanting to keep aphids and leaf curl at bay.

Perfect for my plants.
It’s the best neem oil!I use it to clean leaves of my plants (warm water, few drops of washing up liquid and a 1/2 teaspoon of neem oil), it’s a good protection against pests (helps to get rid of them if they attacked your plants) and gives leaves a nice shine. As only a tiny amount is all you need it lasts for a long time.

Brilliant for control of Poultry red/leg mite
This oil has really proved its worth this summer. I have mixed two tablespoons to an eight ltr. Spray and dosed my hen houses a couple of times a day. It really repels little beasties. Up until the end of July I have only had an attempted attack of red mite. I applied the oil neat on the area and they were smothered the next day. It works a treat on legs for scaly leg mite (neat) and really soothes. It has a garlicky smell which I don’t find a problem. A small price to pay.

3-Star Gem
Neem oil from The Soapery is, without question, a high-quality product. It arrives as advertised—cold-pressed, virgin, unrefined, and unmistakably natural. The texture is thick and earthy, the colour rich, and the scent—yes, that unmistakable pungency—is as strong and unapologetic as you'd expect from true, unaltered neem. But despite all of its strengths, it ultimately isn’t the right product for me personally. The oil itself performs exactly as neem should. It mixes well with carrier oils, applies cleanly in small quantities, and retains all of its botanical potency. When used on plants, it does an exceptional job warding off insects. I tested it in a garden mix, and the leaves responded beautifully. Aphids and mites visibly reduced within days. This speaks to the product’s genuine azadirachtin content, which cheaper deodorised versions often lack. But where it diverges for me is in skin and personal care. I have sensitive skin, prone to reacting even with natural oils. When I first used this neem diluted with almond oil for a patch of dry skin, I noticed immediate hydration—but also lingering stickiness that my skin didn't love. Despite following best practice dilution ratios, my skin still felt uncomfortable after several hours. Over time, I just couldn’t get used to the slightly tacky residue it leaves behind, even when applied thinly. The biggest hurdle for me, though, is the scent. I’m well aware that true neem oil has a strong, smoky, almost garlicky aroma. I expected that going in, and I respect it for what it is. But no matter how many times I tried to blend it or mask it with other oils, the smell lingered—and not in a background way. For me, it was overpowering in enclosed spaces and even transferred onto fabrics after contact. That might be tolerable for short-term topical use or overnight scalp treatments, but not when the scent still clings to pillowcases days later.Again, none of this is a fault of the product itself. In fact, the persistence of the scent is proof of the oil’s unrefined quality. But the combination of the smell, texture, and my own skin sensitivity meant I wasn’t reaching for it regularly—and when I did, it was with caution. I eventually passed the bottle to a friend who swears by neem and uses it confidently on both their skin and in the garden. They’ve had no issues and love the results. One area I do want to highlight is the seller. The Soapery has consistently delivered reliable, high-grade oils in my experience. Their customer service is responsive, their packaging is secure and clear, and they even accept returns if you're not satisfied. It’s a rare level of accountability that gives me full confidence in their brand, even if this particular product didn’t suit me.So while I won't be repurchasing neem oil for my personal use, I absolutely acknowledge its effectiveness, authenticity, and value. It simply doesn’t align with my needs, especially for skincare. That said, for anyone with less reactive skin or focused on garden applications, it may very well be a staple in their home. It's just not for me—and that's perfectly okay.

I think it did the job!
My brugmansia didnt die (like it nearly did last time it caught spider mites) so… it definitely saved it with only two applications. Therefore, worth it!Works for spider mitesSmells like garlic (but get over it we’re trying to save lives here)You will get messy to dress sensibly.Does solidify… difficult to use on cooler days.I had to warm the bottle, mix with hot water and castille soap… and it still left large blobs of residue inside my spray bottle.Have a designated bottle for this… you’ll never clean it well enough for any other use.Its so cheap. That litre bottle will last me YEARS.
