Excellent product great coverage as a concealer

I personally prefer a full coverage matte look, and I've used this for years. I've strayed and tried MAC and Tarte, but they do not have the staying power of this! A little goes a long way, a tube of Maximum Coverage lasts me for over a year, plus it has sunscreen for added protection.

Okay, so, I needed some time with this product to give it a review. At first, I was not happy with the final result of one-day wear. This foundation has great (insurmountable) coverage. I’ve been dying for something that adequately covers my malasma. However, this foundation gets cakey after wearing it for a few hours. I read another review that it accentuates wrinkles and pores. That was correct in my case. I was horrified when I got home and saw what my face looked like at work! It looked like it was melting off. I had also tried it with a setting spray and primer. I don’t know how those products contributed to the effect. It took some trial and error, but I figured out how to use this foundation to work best for my skin. The reason I decided to try this was because my Clinique Stay Matte that I love and have been using for years, has never covered my malasma and dark spots under my eyes like I wanted. But, it’s so lightweight and perfect for oily skin. Initially, I thought the Double Wear Max would replace it. Long story short, I found that this can be used as a concealer under my Clinique Stay Matte. Only VERY little is needed. I use my finger to rub and blend over the spots I want including under my eyes. Then I quickly go over with a blending sponge. This stuff dries very quickly. I then apply my regular foundation, but one area at a time (left side of face, right side of face, chin and entire forehead). Once applied to an area, I use the blending sponge to even everything out. Finally, I use a sponge to apply my powder. A sponge is crucial for working with this product. And, I think success using it all over the face just depends on skin type. I’m 34 years old and my skin is in decent shape. But, as mentioned, this foundation does highlight any unevenness in the skin (pores and wrinkles) if used generously. I absolutely love the coverage it provides and I give it 5 stars based on that and the velvety finish if applied sparingly. Lastly, get very carefully matched for the right color in a store before your first purchase.

I have to give it a four star only because the security tab wasn’t in place, but they gave me a super fast refund issue within three hours of my return. I’ve bought before from this seller with no problems. I believe the seller is very good. It’s just that the security tab was missing. I would purchase from them again. The product itself is a good one. The coverage is great with just a small amount needed.

Love this product. It covers my age spots almost completely. Wears all day. Good match color wise.

Since this makeup comes in a tube there is less chance of contaminating it with your hands since it can just be squeezed out and not dumped onto fingers or your hands. It is a little thicker in consistency than a liquid type makeup so a little goes a long way--too much and it can look masky. The color worked out, however, the finish is a little too shiny. It is a good concealer, though. I have used the classic regular Estee Lauder Double-wear prior to this and think I prefer that instead (matte & natural looking). I do appreciate that Double-Wear makeups contain some sunscreen, though, and are long lasting makeups.

I bought what I thought was a trusted product from Estee Lauder, but it was not what it proclaimed to be. It states on the advertised product that it is waterproof, but the actual package says that you must use a waterproof sunscreen with this. Also, there was no safety seal on the product. Will return immediately
