You might need to kickstart it manually.
I used it in my car to get rid of some nested ants. I put it in around their path, but it initially it did not work, no ants would go into it. Then I tried to hold it and shove the opening onto an ant, and put liquid directly in front of it. It entered and start drinking, then i put the container back onto their path. I think that cause the chosen ant to go back and leave the pheromone trail that attracted more to come. It worked immediately in a few hours and got rid of all the ants.

Works, and keeps my cat out of the sticky stuff
Exterminators told me that this is the only trap that really works on household ants. I've used all the Terro line. This one keeps the sticky stuff away from my cat, which is a bonus.

Work but…
These are pretty decent! It won’t get all of them, but they work. They are not sticky at all though so if you want to stick them, I would find different ones. They also can spill if you aren’t careful.

Takes a day or 2.. but it WORKS!
This works! But - before the ants die- be prepared to see them come out in droves! I placed the bait, and saw more ants then before! That’s the point- They’re very attracted to this bait. They devour the poison then bring it back to their nest to share with their friends, causing them all to die. I would recommend as long as seeing them all come out to munch on the bait won’t freak you out like it did me! 😳

Does anybody test this stuff?????
I see a lot of comments raving about this product. I have used them many times but won't anymore. I used to use the terro liquid bait but found they were hard to open with the twist. I always had to cut with a scissor and often spilled wherever I put them and made a gummy mess without adhesive. I'm glad this product changed to a smaller version of itself and not the beige and white covers that encapsulated the inner tray. This was just such an ecological waste using so much unnecessary plastic. So I used these all around my kitchen - taped to molding and the underside of my quartz island. It took a few days to work, was effective for a short period of time and then dried out much sooner than the product description indicated it would last. That said, however, the main reason I will not be using this product again is because it was impossible to remove the tape. I spent 2 hours with a blow dryer to make the tape soft, used a scraper and razor. Tried warm water and soap and just scraped and scrubbed with painstaking progress. I called the company and it was like I was calling from Mars. After being placed on hold to speak to the resident expert, I was told to use olive oil and a soft cloth. This was useless. I continued to do what I had been doing and was able, for the most part, to get it off the quartz but not easily at all. The molding was damaged from trying and still with glue. I had to sand it off (not completely) and repaint the area. Only one of the 6 traps came off at first without a problem. Infuriating to say the least.Does anybody test this stuff or were they all out to lunch that day?????

if you have a few ants it’ll probably work fine
Why did you pick this product vs others?:The brand is highly recommendSmell: no smell to theses a all Outdoor use:they are easy to set up Functionality:they seem to work OK, but in order to get the Aunt attracted to them I had to dump some out onto the floor. They don’t seem to get rid of all the apps if you have a lot of of them if you have a few, it works ok Ease of cleaning:If it spills on the floor, wipe it up right away because it does get sticky and hard overtimeSafety:i’ve never seem to have a problem with my dog being drawn to it at, but I also put it places where she can’t get to it but she doesn’t go like sniffing it out or looking for it either so that’s good

Works great!
This works soooo good! We had ghost ants appear out of nowhere! It is a slow kill bait which is supposed to be more effective. At first I didn’t think it was working. But over time the ants are gone!!! So happy I purchased this!!!

Works well, doesn’t stick the greatest tho. Takes about 3 full days to solve the ant problem.
The media could not be loaded. Works pretty great. Some little black ants were showing up in my kitchen (I left some maple bacon residue in the sink overnight). I use Meyer lemon spray to get rid of all the ones in undesirable areas (or if some want to stray too far away from the poison) and stuck one of these traps where they appeared to be entering. They started swarming the trap and I watched a ton of them fill their bellies with the clear borax and take it back to their colony dutifully. For 24-48 hours there were hundreds coming and going and after about day 4 there were 0 entering (assuming they all died after accidentally poisoning their brothers and queen).I also use the Gel (other clear liquid you see in the video) as it works faster through fipronil (I think is the name). You’ll notice I had to use some tape to keep it in place as the provided adhesive did not work as great as I’d hope (still 5 star review for solving my problem tho).It didn’t smell bad and I was able to stick it higher where my cats didn’t care to mess with it.
