Parco Scientific P1007-HS Digital Hotplate Magnetic Stirrer w/Ambient - 380°C Temperature Range, 6.0" x 6.0" Ceramic Coated Plate, LCD Display, and 2 Magnetic Stir Bars

So far so good! I use this at home on my hobbies. Heats and stirs well. I have only tested melting agar in about 500mL but it handled that easily. I have also ran the stirring element alone for over 24hr on a small culture. The coating on the plate seems very thin and had a few nicks when opened, but so far it has been easy to clean if there are any spills. Much better than an aluminum top. I will update later if I have problems, but it comes with a two year warranty. Also customer service was quick to respond to my questions before I purchased.Update 4/8/2019Still runs like a champ. I am very happy with my unit. I have had different fungal cultures stirring on it for over 5 days at a time and it still runs well.

Buen producto

I bought this a little over a month ago and already the stir bar stopped working and the heat is not what is reads on the dial. It is useless and now of course its too late to return for another one or get my month back by 15 days. I would not recommend this item.

Purchased on Oct 7, 2018 and used off and on over the years without problems. Ive never turned the heater higher than 98C and 600-800 rpm to evaporate alcohol, but currently running at 25 - 30C at 200 rpm to grow mycelium. Hope to use it for years to come.

Product works great, easy and intuitive right out of the box. Large LCD screen is easy to read and backlight helps a ton reading in the evening!

Garbage product. Not 380C capable. Not even 300C capable, verified by thermometer AND laser temp gun. Cost me over $1000 in ruined product and I missed the return window by 1 day. Temp reading only accurate to about 100C and then the element cant keep up. Buyer beware!

Heating element worked fine, magnetic stirrer on the hand would not work. Going to replace with better luck on the 2nd time. I will post my findings.

After using magnetic stirrers without heat.... this one really made it all work much faster.... before I would heat material then transfer to stirrer... now it is all done together... time saved!!
